I would hope there’s some kind of policy against letting romantic partners of anyone taking the class volunteer to be models. That feels like something that can go real bad real fast.

You could come up with a diegetic reason, sure. Some diplomatic problem with a culture that places moral.weight on nudity, or maybe just one that breathes through exposed skin. Or, y'know, FPOTUS agrees to do it but only after JG spends a full arc convincing her and promises to burn all evidence of it, afterward. Or you could put it out as extra art in the second account, which is dedicated to NSFW stuff. Could do that, too.

Anyway, does anyone really expect Joyce *not* to draw smutty pics of Dorothy? Or not to already have at least one sketchbook full of them? Personally, I expect she's got whole pages of notes she's using to inform her current set of drawings, now that they're sleeping together.

It would be a disaster. What Joyce is describing wanting is a situation she’d only enjoy as a fantasy. There is also no way it could happen and it wouldn’t end up being a humiliating and uncomfortable experience for all involved. Someone working as a model for that kind of class is on the job. It’s not meant to be a sexual thing. And Joyce likely has been to enough of the classes at this point to know that intellectually but she is also deeply jealous when it comes to Dorothy and has no chill. She also thinks everybody wants Dorothy as much as she does. She thinks Amber only wants Walky and wanted Danny because Dorothy was with them. I mention that because it is evidence she is incapable of thinking someone could not be attracted to her gf. She wouldn’t be normal about it for even a second. She’d flip out out, embarrass Dorothy, embarrass herself and ruin the class for all her classmates.

Dorothy does not want it to happen and Joyce doesn’t actually want it to happen either if she thought about it. But wasn’t the life modeling something Marcie was already doing? Doesn’t she have multiple jobs all over campus? I don’t think she did it just to get Malaya to see her naked. It was likely a bonus. But also didn’t it take a while for Malaya to even realize Marcie was interested in them? Sal had to say it out loud. So there was no threat of jealousy there.

IIRC the strip correctly, Marcie specifically went out of her way to take over for the model for the day so she'd model for Malaya.
