Minzoku Bokumetsu

to be fair, Sal has that reaction to Jennifer 24/7/365.25

Sajuuk-Khar

She’ll change that pfp when she’s dead, buddy, and not before, head cheerleader is for LIFE

Jamie (QueenofSodor)

i'm surprised dorothy's able keep doing the cookie monster voice despite being on the run like this

Maude Reads Things

I love her your honour and I never want her to change on this. And for once, I am not referring to Sal

Logibear

Really hoping these two are good with heights. I'd rather not have them getting Miked

Dan Rabin

Replay the sequence of strips, and note how pleased Dorothy is to find herself as Amazi-Girl, at a time when she's been looking for herself.

Harold

Oh, she'll find something for Joyce to eat, all right

C Bonesmith

Something about the way Joyce is drawn in Panel 2 really reminds me of Jocelyn. The Brown girl genes are strong!

Harold

It's starting to feel a little like the MONK episode with Stanley Tucci as a method actor who's shadowing Monk to play him in a movie and gradually loses his own identity

Jennifer Novelli

Legit question: how do some of these kids have each other's numbers? A few of them barely interact.

Astariel

This is still uncomfortably close.

WT Harmon

"Jennifer is flumoxed by a domino mask" is my favorite ongoing plot in this strip.

Harold

Jennifer and Joyce are quite close, actually (closer than Jennifer would like to admit), and of course she and Sal have known each other their whole lives. I'm sure she has Dorothy's number too, but obviously she would have *no* reason to contact Dotty at the moment.

Dan Rabin

They avoid the evil "let's split up!" trope by the Ruth/Naomi callout. The author brings in Joyce's picky eating and Dorothy's consideration of her lover's habits; Jennifer's running-gag misconception gets the punch-frame honors—but it also tells us that Jennifer is "helping". *And* Willis gets to draw a rooftop chase, while also dropping a joke about a business with "Roof Accessible" in its name being listed as "Closed Today" on a mapping app. And—lest we forget—Future President Doris has *dark* hair. *Dark*!

Dan Rabin

But Walky sees right through the disguise, and Jennifer always listens to him :-).

KiasyonSFM

Sal, please show up to end this charade.

Harold

@Astariel: Especially since, as Dorothy points out, Joyce isn't wearing a disguise. The cops are close enough to easily ID her.

Corronchilejano

I hope I'm reading this in 20 years and she hasn't figured it out.

Logibear

Also, Panel 2 is giving off hyperconfident Dorothy vibes... methinks costumed sexytimes might be in the near future?

Astariel

@Harold - Yeah, I was thinking that too. It's quite concerning.

Simon Magid

rofl! Billie, I love you XD

Kevin Ryan

If you’re going as far as the hundredths place, it’d be 365.24 (which is why centennial years, ending in 00, aren’t leap years, except it’s 365.241, so millennial years, ending in 000, are leap years, which is why 2000 was. And, of course, it’s actually a bit more than that, which is when leap seconds come in. Fun fact: Microsoft Excel has an intentional bug where it treats 1900 as a leap year, which they did on purpose back in the early ’90s when it was the new software in town and 100% compatibility with Lotus 1-2-3 was a major selling point, and Lotus 1-2-3 had that bug so they had to copy it. And that bug still exists over 30 years later for backwards compatibility reasons.) Can you tell I’ve had to program around this nonsense?

Shane Wegner

Her secret desire to be doing this all along locked in.

Shane Wegner

“Yes, we’re trying to Stop! (the) Police! (from raiding dorms)”

Shane Wegner

“I’ll Find Something For You To Eat- A Dumbing of Age Pornographique”

Shane Wegner

“Wherever you go, I will go” could plausibly include jail, which as established will have various foods all touching each other. The stakes couldn’t be higher!

Zesstra

Book of Ruth? More like book it across a roof.

John C. Kirk

Depending on the app, they might not need phone numbers to message each other (eg Instagram). It’s also possible that they all got added to a group chat at some point and got each other’s numbers that way.

Packy Anderson

The Amazi-voice was chosen because it was easy to maintain during physical activity. Dorothy ditched the Cookie Monster voice after the first panel.

Packy Anderson

Except when she knows better than her "brother", which is frequently.

Shane Wegner

I can’t see if they’re wearing body cams, but if they are, it makes questions like ‘Who is this known associate of Amazigirl?’ And “Where does she live?” quite easy. It’d be funny if they’re not wearing them because of their shady ways and it comes back to bite them when they can’t accurately describe Joyce.

thejeff

It's also giving "Not taking this anywhere near serious enough" vibes.

jafortee

@Shane Wegner - there’s so many inside jokes in this comic that I can never explain to anyone in my real life
