Kazo

I think it's time for Amazi-Girl to get a suspiciously blond sidekick.

jafortee

oh wow this change is objectively interesting

Lazuli

this will surely go well

This can't end well

Andrea Andrew

Their first fight as a couple. I know they’ll get through this. Dorothy, I…think you might need your own identity. Become the Justice.

Astariel

Book 17: Dorothy's Prison Diaries

Dan Rabin

Sometime in Book 17, Dorothy is going to say, "I can stop any time I want to."

Minzoku Bokumetsu

is this why the Saturday rapture that definitely isn't Saturday but SOME people say it is

Jayne Lindgren

This is obviously a bad idea, but it feels very natural. Dorothy had her faith in doing things the lawful way shattered so now she's latching onto another way she thinks she can help people- the unlawful way. Add in guilt and PTSD, and the thought of being someone other than Dorothy for a bit probably seems very tempting.

Jennifer Novelli

I don't think it's occurred to them that Amber's gonna want that back at some point.

Ragtime

No see technically, she is the fourth Amazigirl, there had been 2 in a prior universe.

Logibear

Looking forward to the inevitable Amazi-Girl vs Amazi-Girl showdown (somewhere in the distance Danny gets a nosebleed with his exes fighting)

Maude Reads Things

She also works out regularly so she can't be that out of shape. I say, go! I could use a good train wreck

Sajuuk-Khar

Here we see one of the problem dynamics of their totally invincible love (insane stubbornness feedback loop k GO)

jafortee

I’m just going to say it in case I’m right - this Amazigirl’s hair is way too long to be Dotty. My gut tells me we’re looking at Carla

Hrm. I guess anyone *can* wear the mask.

Jamie (QueenofSodor)

I really, REALLY liked Book 16 as a whole, but I feel like this storyline specifically let me down. Like, there's a of good material in it (like Everything With Carla) but the specific way in which the 'Joe You Are Allowed To Feel Sad' plot thread was resolved left a bad taste in my mouth ("he made himself small", my ass), and I was ready to forgive a lot because the Amazi-Dorpy stuff was incredibly exciting at first, but the way in which the cop chase was handled sucked all the air out of it for me. When Dorothy started talking about doing what happened this storyline *again* tomorrow a few strips ago, I had this overwhelming feeling of "do we have to?" come over me. I feel a bit better about it now seeing that she's doing Actual Amazi-Things instead, but like... The whole concept of Dorothy as Amazi-Girl went from an exciting treat to a headache in only a few days, and it's gonna take some *really* compelling material to bring me back around on it. I have faith it can happen, but like... I would like it to happen.

NinjaZaku

There are so many red flags coming from Dorothy right now, Jesus Hoverboarding Christ.

Tessea

It's possible she switched to a wig.

Shane Wegner

Dorothy has a small portion of AG’s skills in terms of combat training and general vigilante knowledge, and AG up Stabbed, Almost to Death. Joyce has even less savvy than that, no matter how much she keeps quoting that verse. Unless the universe is doing them special plot armor favors, the primary believable outcome is they get captured, beaten up, arrested and thrown out of their college. Dorothy already acknowledged that logically they probably shouldn’t have gotten away from the cops last time. If they do succeed because Willis is putting his thumb on the scales for them as a treat, their successes feel unearned.

Packy Anderson

I see Joyce becoming Amazi-Girl(d)'s Alfred. If, you know, Alfred was hot and heavy with Bruce's understudy.

NAtAyAZAlnAk

wait is that just a slight inconsistency, a wig or someone else, cause the hair definitely looks too long for dorothy

Yue Ryong

Oh shit, the rapture was becoming Amazi-Girl all along.

Harold

Coming soon: MY NAME IS DOT K., an inspirational drama about the founding of Faux-Superheroes Anonymous

Harold

Or it'll be like the beginning of Monty Python's "Bicycle Repairman" sketch, where *everyone* on campus is an Amazi-Girl just going about their everyday lives

Star Ringer

I may be conjuring meaning here, but I felt like Joe 'making himself small' is what he's predisposed to in taking after his mom. All the brazen, sex-obsessed egotism was something he put on in an attempt to be more like his father, and he's good at wearing it, but when he takes that off (re: Joyce) that predisposition reasserted itself, and he needed help getting back out of the extreme.

C Bonesmith

Wig would make sense, that way she doesn't have to dye her hair every time she wants to go out and do something dangerous.

jafortee

Occam’s Razor >> tysm this makes so much more sense
