First, check below to see if the character you want to nominate for February 2019's bonus strip has already been nominated.

If so, "heart" them! If you don't see them nominated below, nominate 'em!

I will delete duplicate character nominations. If I removed your nomination, please go find the name elsewhere and "heart" it.

Alice won last month's vote, so no votes for her this month, please!  Also, let's try to limit ourselves to characters who have, y'know, actually appeared in the strip and/or have a name.   In other words: no me, no Ninja Rick.

I guessed I'd have to try harder than simply listing her name, but I didn't want to campaign heavy-handedly for her because I'm moving right now and I don't have the time to craft more than a thin banner of support. Here's my case, though, if you have the patience to read it: She's only ever gotten one bonus strip, and her appearances in the comic number less than those of any of the five or six characters who contend for the majority of our votes. She's an interesting character despite how easily she might be dismissed as overrepresented at her surface level across the many media in which someone like her would appear more frequently. I think Willis does an excellent job of using her as sparingly as he has, and every appearance has been nuanced and great. She's subversive in a lot of ways, but she's able to be overlooked because of the depth to which she's subversive. If the main strip really focused on her it would break, and I'm not arguing for that. But in the margins of the bonus strips, we might see more of her potential unfold.

Yes, and it's the subject of one of Howard Mackie's few misfires during his tenure at Marvel: the Web of Spider-Man arc entitled "The Name of the Ass." It was a simpler time, and America was so in love with Umberto Eco's work that we forgave the lazy homage but not the stories themselves.
