Yeah, okay. I felt a little like griping when the Sal-Amber fight ended the way it did. Felt like "Wolverine vs. Lobo" or "Storm vs. Wonder Woman," where the character who's perceived as "cooler" takes the belt despite being outclassed in terms of stats. But this makes sense.

Yes, Ruth, please take another crack at Amber's self-hatred. It probably won't go any better than last time, but if she's getting suicidal then I'm just glad to see somebody try. And I guess if Amber's looking at the roller derby as 'community service' then it isn't much of a positive in her life yet, is it : (

Amber's been subdued by Sal's posse, been rescued by Sal from an automotive accident, and has lost a stealth check to Sal. If anything Sal being on top fits with the overall narrative.
