and on the horizon, a lone, lifeless planet.

AH I WAS RIGHT. The end goal of the ARK, controlled by Father, was the distillation of creatures down to their data- or souls- to be moved between teraformable planets. That makes sense for everything it did in Dusk Acres- trying to cannibalise the creatures and store them for movement, having decided the planet was no longer plausible for maintaining life. Explains why he was so connected to FIRE as well... and why VOICE wasn't actually being adversary here, Father becoming infected was a human mistake, not VOICES aim. The ending is making a bit more sense now, why VOICES seems guilty. They truly just wanted to give Father a chance, but instead it became a burnt monstrosity. I guess the core we saw in the mansion was it with all of its human slaves cannibalised into one mass, slowly dying from self consumption. That also explains its need to keep creating new people's, and infecting them to consume- all it could do is eat and survive Interesting with the VOICE, who seems to have given up on the story of Dusk Acres, and its ending. On a meta level, it is fun to see Allister being determined to bring it to a positive conclusion, that has been his aim from the beginning. Interesting the VOICE helped Hymir's people- and now we know why he sees himself as a traitor- he fled. Is there an ARK out there controlled by a bit of Father, full of fish creature minds, I wonder if we will find out. Also, finally- I guess that the code spreading explains how APEX have fire mark 2, all it can do is survive. Very X Men Darwin hahaha

poor Father, i cannot believe you gave an AI trauma (i absolutely can, please carry on i am intrigued)

Steve

Oh the horror, how I love it!

Star Ringer

can-can-kicking vagrant father and conqueror on a fucking cupcake, WOW

Star Ringer

OI! *clap clap* GLASGOW CHUCKLEFUCK, LEAVE HYMIR ALONE

Star Ringer

You ruined a perfectly good round boy, is what you did. Look at it, it's got anxiety.

Somedude

I assume he's a "traitor" because he tried to stop The Ark from getting built/he escaped and or survived it

Rycanrok

*Birth of a Wish plays in the background* I'm really diggin how this is goin BC!

Robert Smith

Yeah no agreed, Hymir explicitly said he and some others ran

Khorax

This was fucking brutal. Thank you.

Quietbear

The body horror, the gore, De Veris' loss of sanity and father's actions for self-preservation, just simply (Junko chef kiss) despairingly beautiful.

Rick Whitechest

This was pretty hot, but now it's turned downright erotic! 👀

Rodney Talon

From sex hotohori to apocalyptic nero/Bacchus Doc really lived a full life

Lee Evergreen

Beautiful! Poor Father. Of course Voice would just allow this to happen.

SentaiNerd

As much as I like System Shock, still not a fan of how this is going, but I'm glad to see you have fans eating up the lore.

RPL

That's so great! It's nice to see the Voice is still somewhat "nice" after their redemption on Monster Smash ending, even if they still look somewhat... sadist? So is they the One that Laughs in Dusk Acres? (I can't remember the actual name of the god but iirc that's the entity that helped the group) I love the Voice breaking the fourth wall with their comments over "lore dump", "killing the pace" and "good ending"! It's *chefs kiss* Also poor Father! That explains the fire motif and the Cannibal king... :(

Lee Evergreen

I do have to say the Laughing God is a really good look, Voice. I definitely think it suits you better than the whole mutant gimp thing you tried to do in Monster Smash.

Blazingcheeks

That is actually so flattering and inspiring! Thanks rob!

Blazingcheeks

The idea was more of a budai tbh, also he bears the mark of kalki on his forehead in his final appearance altho i guess it’s not too visible. But yeah, the guy had fun XD

Rodney Talon

You know that really well. How should I research stuff get an appreciation?

SentaiNerd

It's okay, it's just a matter of preference. You make what you want and I respect that.

Rune

Doesn’t father in the last frame look a lot like the arms that destroy?

Star Ringer

...I didn't notice that before. But it definitely looks like it's surrounded by swirling "arms".

Sad Dragon

Well well well, if it isnt the consequences of thine own actions
