Michael DeBerry

Late Night With The Devil . It should be watched on Halloween.

Anthony

Terrifier 2!

BubblyRainbows

You mean aside from "Halloween" 2, 4, and 5?

Stacey K

I would love to see you continue the Scream franchise ❤️

Andrew Hussey

Not purely a Halloween film, but I really think you'd like a flick from back in the day called Jacob's Ladder. Barring that another film by the guy who did Haunting of Hill House called Oculus is one hell of a top tier flick

Todd Rush

Trick or Treat. NOT Trick R’ Treat, but Trick OR Treat from 1986 that is pure schlocky stupid fun. A hair metal singer gets raised from the dead by a metal head playing their record backwards. It is really stupid and funny and fun.

Jeb Manning

The biggest for me that I'd love to see you react to is Ernest Scared Stupid. It's a great movie for Halloween that's actually set around Halloween. It's literally the first thing I watch when October starts. Also, there is a connection between it and another movie you've already reacted to: Killer Klowns from Outer Space. The effects for both killer Klowns from Outer Space and Ernest Scared Stupid were done by the Chiodo Brothers. The Chiodo Brothers are the guys who wrote, directed, and produced Killer Klowns from Outer Space. So some of the effects from Killer Klowns, specifically the Klown heads, were reused and repurposed for Ernest Scared Stupid. It's a perfect blend of spooks, laughs, and great creature effects.

Dave_Dot_Executable

This isn't specific to Halloween, but I'm going to keep suggesting Oculus and 1408 until you either watch them or tell me to get bent. You already watched most of my other suggestions. Also the remake of Dawn Of The Dead is worth your time. Also I agree with Michael DeBerry that Late Night With The Devil is a great watch for Halloween specifically.

Ernesto Lopez

The uninvited (2009) or the last house on the left (2009)

Morten Wisting

I highly recommend you watch the 1989 version of The Woman in Black. It is perfect for the halloween season.

Wally

Specify the year so she doesn't watch the new one.

Andrew Hussey

Double yes in oculus lol I actually suggested that too before I saw your comment, great minds and all

Franco Saenz

Late Night with the Devil. It’s one of my favorites of the year and I think your reaction to it would be amazing.

Darth Rendus

Top tier pics from you! Love all of the movies you suggested!

EmStonkers

The Stuff, it's goopy good fun

EmStonkers

Pontypool please please please

EmStonkers

Werewolves Within is so fun

Chris Morgan

This is a personal fave for me as well. I mean it takes place on Halloween!

Biff McKeldin

Since you just finished up THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE, you should give 1963's THE HAUNTING a viewing . It's a direct adaptation of the same novel that "suggested" the series. The series was *wildly* different than either the novel or first movie, but the "Easter Egg" connections strewn throughout the series (character names and traits, as well as verbatim quotes) put the series and the movie/novel in a fascinating dialogue with each other. There was a 1990s version of THE HAUNTING as well... but it isn't very good. https://youtu.be/5xLRfsMf7DM?si=0T9lvBgWi9HQB_xK

CJGardner

Sleepy Hollow is such good-natured creepy fun, and perfect for Halloween.

Julian San

- Demons (1985) - Rec (2007) - Tales From the Crypt presents Demon Knight (1995) - Fright Night (1985) I tried to get one or two from each of the last few decades but honestly, I don’t remember which films Kat has already watched 😂

Anton Hennicker

Agree with lots on here Kat...Late Night with the Devil for me. Think you'll love it. Based on Halloween night too. One of my favs of the year.

Jordan Wing

Hell House: LLC Late Night with the Devil Terrifier 2 Halloween (2018) Halloween Kills Halloween III: Season of the Witch Hell Fest Haunt (2018) The Houses October Built

Patrick Rainey

Watch 'Ready or Not' (2019) and follow it up with 'Abigail' (2024)! Great 'stuck-in-a-mansion' double-feature from the Radio Silence directors.

Franklin Silberzahn

Tim Burton's Corpse Bride (2005), The Witches of Eastwick (1987), Practical Magic (1998)

Andrew Hussey

Rec is great fun, so long as she gets the original and not that awful remake

Matthew Clark

“Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon” is a severely under appreciated gem. It’s by far the best “meta” horror out there. Can’t recommend it enough.

Matthew Clark

“Session 9” is fantastic, too. My favorite of the “asylum” genre.

Matthew Clark

“What’s the second way to kill a werewolf?”

LaserLamb

🧟‍♂️🧟🧟‍♀️PLANET TERROR!🧟‍♀️🧟🧟‍♂️notparticularlyhalloweenrelated, butcertainlyinthespirit. You haven't watched "X" or "Pearl" yet either, & I haven't seen "Maxxxine" yet. Also, The Infinity Pool is pretty cool too.

LaserLamb

Witches of Eastwick, mucho entertaining!

Kinokind

The British back in the 70's really knew how to scare the bejesus out of us. Check out the ORIGINAL version of "The Woman in Black" (1989) (much scarier than the Radcliffe version) or "The Stone Tape" (1972), both done for British TV. And of course the original film version of Shirley Jackson's novel, "The Haunting" (1962). It spawned a remake and the series.

Eddie Perkins

Jacob's Ladder (1990), not the 2019 remake.

Andrew Hussey

Oh yes! Good call, I kind of just erase that remake from memory lol

HeyHeyJK

Since you've finished "The Haunting of Hill House" I'll suggest (again) that you watch the original 1962 film, "The Haunting" so you can see how great Mike Flanagan and the writers adapted the plot and characters. It's my favorite horror film and I'll add "The Changeling" from 1980 which is my 2nd favorite haunted house film (you've already watched "The Others" which is my #3). I'd also suggest the 1963 British folk horror classic "The Wicker Man" (do NOT watch the remake with Nicolas Cage because the horror of THAT film is that it got made at all).

Eddie Perkins

I'm not even going to ask for Silver Bullet again; I guess I just did. Since I'm on the subject of werewolves, I recommend The Wolf Man (1941) and WOLF with Jack Nicholson. I also recommend Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992). and Planet Terror (2007).

Yannis Pappas The Almost Cyclopsis

It's not Halloween themed but honestly Marvels "Werewolf By Night" is an incredible homage to old school horror movies. It technically has nothing to do with super heroes so you can just enjoy it as a stand alone horror flick.

EmilyKT

I know it's been suggested already, but I would LOVE to see you check out The Haunting (1963). It's been the penultimate movie in my October horror movie marathon for years!

EmilyKT

Exorcist 3! And you don't need to watch Exorcist 2 to understand the third movie. Exorcist 3 is sequel to the original movie and ignores the second film completely.

EmilyKT

Carnival of Souls would be a great choice for the Halloween season! And of course, you knew I was going to recommend Wait Until Dark! :)

DaffyStardust

Fright Night (1985) would be a great choice for Halloween

Raj Hudek

-Monster Squad (1987) -Tales from the Darkside: The Movie (1990) -Body Bags (1993) -Trick or Treat (1986)

Wally

Ready or Not is very good.

Dave_Dot_Executable

I'm gonna second Brightburn, Behind The Mask, and Frailty, also, somebody suggested Sleepy Hollow and that is PERFECT for a Halloween movie. Now Kat, you handled Terrifier like a champion. If you KNOW that you're ready for it, there's this movie called "Martyrs". Martyrs is gruesome like Terrifier, but it isn't splatter horror, it's moral horror. I bet the ending of Martyrs will truly make "Kat Executable" stop responding, so I'm sincerely NOT recommending that you watch Martyrs. Only watch Martyrs if you are the Actual One True Final Girl Of The Real World Cinematic Universe.

Rofyle

"Late Night With the Devil" is a new movie that has recently hit streaming. It's been popular with reactors and audiences, and it features a very interesting and entertaining concept. It also takes place directly on Halloween night. It's not really all that frightening, but it is very creepy.

Rofyle

Autopsy is so good and creepy. I never saw that end coming. The acting in it is phenomenal too. Brian Cox is such a fantastic actor.

Rofyle

Oh god, The Changeling. I forgot about that one. Scared the bejeezez out of me when I was a kid. I literally couldn't sleep after watching it. Stephen King talked about it in his non fiction work, Danse Macabre. That door. Please don't let that door open. George C Scott was absolutely brilliant. He has another one too. Exorcist 3. Has the most terrifying tracking scene in all of horror. If you've seen it you know which scene I mean.

Tony Rossell

Idle Hands, Night Breed and Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon

Rofyle

That tracking scene! Best set up ever. Everybody screams. William Peter Blatty directed it too. He wrote the original Exorcist

K.N.

Longlegs!

Mike Martinez

How about a great movie similar to Killer Klowns from Outer Space … Galaxy Quest.

Chrispy

Halloween II and Sleepy Hollow.

Richard Maurer

The Horror of Dracula (58) starring the great Christopher Lee, best Dracula ever.

Carter Paul

I very much agree with Sleepy Hollow for this October, and as a big fan of period horror I'd love to see you react to Crimson Peak (2015) and Black Death (2010) at some point.

Eric

Scary stories to tell the dark (2019) is a perfect movie to start off the Halloween season

Todd Rush

TRICK OR TREAT (1986)!!! There is no way that it will ever win a poll, but it is SO fun (I requested it too). I hope that at some point she will watch some from the bottom of the vote-pile. LOL. -RAGMAN

TC's Lair

My first Patreon suggestion! I love the movie The Uninvited (2009)

Symon O'Hagan

Yes! And remember, you get to have a pot of tea and little sandwiches and your best English accent!

Symon O'Hagan

I loooooove Sleepy Hollow and Crimson Peak for a bit of Gothicky fun.

Symon O'Hagan

I think it's Hong Kong but yes it's really good. But not the Jessica Alba remake.

Symon O'Hagan

Very much agreed. It is heaps of fun, especially now that Kat has a few slasher movies under her belt.

AB-80X

I think The Howling would be cool. Or Young Frankenstein lol.

AB-80X

Trick Or Treat is cool.

Jack Vann

Night of Demons would be amazing. It's pretty campy, but scared me silly as a 10 year old. It also takes place on Halloween night!

Wally

Nightbreed for sure.

Wally

"Shallow Grave" (1994) a dark thriller from the same director of 28 Days Later and starring a young baby faced Ewan McGregor.

HeyHeyJK

I just watched CoS for the first time last weekend and, while I see why it would have been really creepy back when it came out, it just didn't hold up for me (what was the point of the rapey neighbor storyline??). Some interesting shots here and there and they made great use of that big pavillion location, but it shows it's age and budget.

HeyHeyJK

I'm glad someone else added their vote for this one. I've been suggesting it while Kat has been watching the Mike Flanagan series, and it's definitely in my fav Halloween double-feature, along with "The Changeling". Still scares the shite out of me every time. I'm literally about to order a t-shirt from it to wear to a screening of "Hush" with Mike Flanagan and Kate Siegel next weekend.

HeyHeyJK

Oh, god, I'm still angry about that remake of "The Haunting". It had the perfect cast and then they hired the absolute worst director for it. Instead of everything being hidden and left up to the imagination of the audience, it became a visual effects reel and took all of the suspense out of it (and that's based on the trailer and reviews, I refused to go see it).

HeyHeyJK

Yeah, George C. Scott was so great in "The Changeling" and I have always heard how good "Exorcist 3" is and still haven't seen it, so I need to watch it soon for sure.

HeyHeyJK

Hopefully the Coen's actual horror movie they're working on which they say leans toward that ending sequence in "Blood Simple" will be out for Kat to watch next spooky season!

HeyHeyJK

No, no, no don't watch "Audition" Kat!!! You'll regret it as it will haunt your nightmares for ... well, forever.

HeyHeyJK

Love that movie so much.

HeyHeyJK

Well, hell, now I can't watch "Autopsy"! People just can't resist mentioning twist endings which means I'll be looking for clues the whole movie and it won't be a big surprise since even if I don't guess what it is, I now know there is a twist ending. SMH.

HeyHeyJK

Haha, this feels almost like a rewrite of my comment! Really hope she watches "The Haunting".

Kinokind

True, but so does "Night of the Living Dead". I like the mood of the thing and cut it slack for what it was able to accomplish with such limitations. And it was nice to see the long-gone Saltair amusement pier not long before it was destroyed.

Kinokind

Yes, it was pretty terrible. And although the sets were great, they were absurdly out of scale. And while we SEE nothing scary in the original (although it scared the crap out of me when I first saw it), the remake jumped the shark with computer effects. The same year the remake of "House on Haunted Hill" came out, and although they, too, overdid the CGI at the end, I like it better now than I did then, since the acting, sets and direction hold up much better.

Budsfan67

Southbound, Incident in a Ghostland, The Clovehitch Killer, Case 39, The Summer of 84,

Joey King

CRIMSON PEAK (Gothic Horror), FRIGHT NIGHT (Vampire Horror), THE AUTOPSY OF JANE DOE (Supernatural Horror), and GERALD'S GAME (Psychological Horror) .... for starters .... So Many to Choose from!

Joey King

CRIMSON PEAK and SLEEPY HOLLOW .... for sure!

Joey King

THE HOWLING .... Fantastic Werewolf flick

Cory Silver

There's nothing supernatural about the Autopsy of Jane Doe. The movie is just about a normal uneventful autopsy, nothing more.

Cory Silver

I see some people here suggested more than one movie. Well, I won't do that. Although there are many movies, I have to suggest "Mandy" staring Nicolas Cage. This movie is an experience. If I got to suggest a second. The Menu. Another completely different experience, that you'll forget is a horror movie, until you remember that it is.

BubblyRainbows

Selfish skip. I've never seen 3. But it's the only one my dad doesn't have on DVD or Blu-Ray, so I can't watch along, so I didn't mention it. If I had a copy, I'd happily watch along for my first time seeing it.

BubblyRainbows

Yes to "Monster Squad"! The others are all good too. But especially "Monster Squad"

BubblyRainbows

I don't want to spoil anything, so I can't get specific, but there was a brief Halloween scene in there. So, it qualifies for Halloween.

Todd Rush

Dang it. No one is ever going to react to this stupid movie. LOL. Edit: I wish there was a raffle for the least popular movies or something.

Raj Hudek

Agreed! But heck, you gotta try!

Raj Hudek

I love Monster Squad. I'm not gonna say it's as scary now that I'm older but it was just a well done horror flick back when they made movies with a different kind of passion. One that I feel is completely missing in many modern day films. It's a cult classic if nothing else.

Colwyn Baily

The scary and funny "The Cabin in the Woods" (despite the Whedon problem, director Drew Goddard kills it); and "Pitch Black," with Radha Mitchell and a pre-fame Vin Diesel and scary as hell.

Colwyn Baily

I'll second "Gerald's Game."

Colwyn Baily

"Trick 'r Treat" is such an underrated gem. I'm glad it's found a second life on streaming.

Carter Paul

I watched Autopsy of Jane Doe bc of your comment and holy pee my pants... if the story wasn't so engaging I don't know if I'd have been able to finish and I fancy myself a veteran. Top of my list for Kat's October reactions now and one of my new favorite horror films! I mean what am I saying though it was simply a normal and routine autopsy, some might compare it to a documentary even...

Jeb Manning

While Ernest Scared Stupid is still the one I'd love to see you react to most for Halloween, I did think of some other ones that would be good for the Halloween spooky season: -The Haunted Palace (1963) -The Masque of the Red Death (1964) -The Dunwich Horror (1970) -The Fog (1980) -Ghostbusters (1984) -Night of the Creeps (1986) -From Beyond (1986) -Troll (1986) -Prince of Darkness (1987) -Beetlejuice (1988) -Elvira: Mistress of the Dark (1988) -Society (1989) -In the Mouth of Madness (1994) -Dagon (2001) -Troll Hunter (2010) -The Void (2016) -Blair Witch (2016) -Annihilation (2018) -The Lighthouse (2019) -Color Out of Space (2019) -Underwater (2020) -I Saw the TV Glow (2024)

Jeb Manning

I did have another idea for something a little different. The 1970 movie called An Evening of Edgar Allan Poe. It features Vincent Price reciting and acting out four classic stories from gothic horror writer Edgar Allan Poe: The Tell-Tale Heart, The Sphinx, The Cask of Amontillado, and The Pit and the Pendulum.

Jeb Manning

Original Psycho OP reacted to it on her Patreon.

Todd Rush

Thanks for the tip. I just subbed and apparently she didn't post it craftily enough to get around the YT jackasses, b/c it is no longer available. Love that she did it though, so I don't mind giving her a few bucks. :)

Jeb Manning

Yeah, music movies are always going to be a problem for YouTube's broken copyright system. The full reaction is on her Patreon, though. I do know that. She uses Vimeo to post the full reactions so she can past copyright. I do think more people should subscribe to her. She's great and she really does listen fan suggestions and recommendations. I love that my first suggestion, Ernest Scared Stupid, got done almost as soon as I mentioned it.

Colwyn Baily

I'd second "The Fog" and "Troll Hunter."

Paulieee91

Halloween 2 1981 Halloween 3 1982 Friday the 13th Part 4 1984, A Nightmare on Elm Street 2 1985, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 1986, Not many have done the Last House On the Left, 1972 Wes Cravens first film. I'm a sucker for the old movies.

HeyHeyJK

OH MY GOD HOW DID I FORGET "HOUSE/HAUSU"????????? My life was forever defined by 'before I watched 'House'/after I watched 'House'. The most batshit crazy haunted house film you'll ever see. Japanese schoolgirls visit a haunted house and nothing in your imagination can prepare you for what happens (which sounds ominous but you'll be shocked and laughing at the same time through much of it).

Sam Preteroti

Monster Squad.. you're all welcome.

Richard Maurer

Hausu is a amazing crazy-ass movie. I always use the Japanese name to avoid confusion with the American horror movie House.

Sinjin Django

Let's be honest...the correct answer is, obviously 1982's Halloween III: Season of the Witch. It's Halloween-centric, as in the holiday and night itself. It has absolutely no connection whatsoever to the other Halloween/Michael Myers movies and most importantly...it's high time you were introduced to the Man, the Myth the Legend, Mr. Tom Atkins. The movie will change your life with all of its awesome sauce.,,

Matthew Clark

“You dropped your candy bar, EJ.”

Paulieee91

YeSsss Halloween sequels !!!!! I can't remember if she did Halloween 2 1981

Sylvanas

Jennifer’s body

Aaron Johnson

Halloween III is a hoot and so unexpected. Lady in White is a great one that takes place partly on Halloween. Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark takes place on Halloween

Aaron Johnson

Hell House LLC is about a Halloween haunted house that doesn’t go well. To say the least.

DEREK JANSEN

In The Mouth of Madness (1994), Night of the Comet (19EIGHTY4)

Eddie Perkins

I think she said she just watched Fright Night; that should be coming.

Dave_Dot_Executable

Okay I just now saw on the Livestream rewatch that you finally saw Oculus so now I will stop asking you to watch it for the channel.

davherex

Paranormal Activity. DEFINITELY!! Warm Bodies (2013). It’s literally a zombie love story! 💖 Sinister (2012). Creepy AF, plus a great jump scare. Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 Halloween III: Season of the Witch

Katina Corbin

Have you ever watched final destination

Ashcroft Production-House

The Prophecy with Christopher Walkin. Let the Right One In. Lost in Space (1998) is a good one and for sure should count as a scifi horror in its own right. Wolf with Jack Nicholson.

Wanda

The Bye Bye Man

Wanda

Another great one incident in Ghostland 2018 . Scared the he** out of me

Ryan alldridge

Underwater from 2020 is a really underrated horror film I highly suggest.
