This is good episode. I will have to watch this one with you . We ended up watching it with you. Who new? This would be a major hit show

I can't get enough of these reactions to these episodes! Your commentary and reactions to these are really entertaining and thought provoking. I look forward to these every Sunday now! Keep up the great X-Files Sunday reactions! Fantastic! (If you ever want to add a second very similar vibe of show, I strongly suggest Fringe, by the way.)

The resolution in the 90s made it a lot easier to not notice the stunt doubles. Heh. I mean, you could still kinda tell, but it was a lot easier to ignore and pretend. Oh! It was *this* episode where Scully missed something supernatural. I knew that was coming up. Hahaha

For a great Horror/Fantasy series, I recommend Grimm. The X-Files is my favorite series but Grimm is also great, I think you'd really enjoy it too.

Glad you are watching this. Wednesday was never enough for your reactions. Now Wednesday and Sunday aren’t enough….

Kat seemed to enjoy this episode, so I’m glad for her. I was in my early/mid 20s when the show premiered and it was required viewing on Fox every Friday night (right after the equally fun western/sci fi/comedy Adventures of Brisco County Jr, starring Bruce Campbell of Evil Dead fame). I was always more of a fan of the monster of the week episodes than the UFO/series mythology episodes. That said, this was easily one of my least favorite episodes. It seemed very bland/boring and paint-by-numbers to me. It came out during a time when virtually every tv or movie ghost story was of the “friendly ghost just trying to help” variety. They all had spooky trappings, but it always became evident they only wanted justice for their murder or to protect a loved one or something similar. Boooooring. Asian cinema in the 1990s/2000s did it MUCH better. Their ghosts were malevolent; they wanted to hurt people and perhaps even consign their souls to hell. When the answers came (if they did, because they didn’t always), they were horrifying, not edifying. All in all, this was a serviceable episode. And that’s about as polite as I can be about it.

You're right - these early episodes are great but there's not a whole lot to say about them. Don't worry, I think you'll have plenty to think & speak about soon enough. Thanks for bein' my Monday night watch!

Are You hungry KAT? :D Energy... energy can be transformed or gathered or dispersed... There are WAY more "ghost stories" than any UFO sightings. People telling stories with such conviction that at least we can accept that they do believe in what they are saying. My Grandmother told such stories... and I don't have any reason claming she was liayng. Why would anyone say such things when they know they're making themselves look ridiculous and that no one will believe them? Or worse? Not saying that I do believe in everything. There are always plenty other possible explanations... but some things can't be explained in any rational matter. On to next one...

Hi Kat, I have really been enjoying you X-Fles reactions. It was one of the shows my wife and I used to watch together. If you’re wondering about the afterlife, Jesus offers a sure answer: whoever trusts in Him has eternal life now and will never face final judgment. It’s not about religion or good deeds but simply trusting what Jesus did for you by dying on the cross for the sins of mankind. Then He rose from the dead and is alive now at the right hand of God. • John 11:25 NASB: "Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies," • John 5:24 NASB: ""Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life." • John 3:16 NASB: ""For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."
