Next episode is the one I've been most excited for you to watch.

Chuckloaf

Yes, episode 1x8 is easily a top 10 X-Files episode.

laurax22

Yesss! I’ve been so excited for Kat to get to Ice. It is one of my favorite episodes for sure!

laurax22

Hahaha, catching the reverse blink was hilarious! 😂

Dave_Dot_Executable

I give this episode ten END OF LINEs out of ten out of ten RE-EXAMINE MY PRIORITIES AND DRAW NEW CONCLUSIONSes. Also WTF happens at 16:19?

If you want to watch something else about AI that'll freak you out, check out 2001: A Space Odyssey! Directed by Stanley Kubrick, the same guy who directed The Shining.

Jessie Caldwell

I watched eps 8 when it first aired and that was my first time watching the X-Files. It remains, to this day one of my favorites.

They must have been seriously short of coverage to have to resort to the reverse-head-turn trick. Ironically, with AI today, that shot could have been manufactured to look perfect.

Easiest way to turn off a car horn (and what it looks like Mulder did there) is to pull the negative wire off the car battery. Follow me for more carjacking tips.

The falling man figure in the introduction (which I agree is the coolest part) is taken as an homage from the intro/outro credits of the great 1960's TV sci fi series, "The Time Tunnel". Nice catch on the reverse head movement! I'm loving these. You have created my favorite Sunday night entertainment. This computer is similar to the HAL computer in 2001. A great episode.

Fish_Kungfu

What a great and timely episode to be made in 1993! The scary thing is today's AI's are far beyond what was in this episode. Also, your video forensic skills are top tier!

And the electric looking hand is an electrophotograph also known as a Kirlian photograph, named after Semyon Kirlian who developed the method. I used to make electrophotographs way back in high school (1970's). Good times. :-)

Okay... KAT what have You done?? Exactly at 16 mins and 20 sec... a "glitch" in the system... o0 :D You can achieve 0 gravity but... the velocity needed to get those few seconds (like in "Apollo 13" movie) and "few" g-force points... well let's just say You would need a a fast jet. Elevator just wont cut it. Battery cables KAT - just unplug one... KAT - You ever heard about HAL 9000? If not - then watch "Space odyssey 2001" ;) Yep - good thing You watched Terminators - this will be our future. Like Sarah - You may find Yourself in a sutuation You will need to save the humanity. Remember - we are all counting on You. Also - google search monopoly is a form of repression and censorship - remember that. Happy New Year...

Who Are These People

Hold the phone Kat have you not watched '2001: A Space Odyssey'? Ok well...that's next then.

Ahhhhhhh yes... In my thirty years of software engineering I can't even attempt to count all the many Electro Wizards I met. >_>
