Rented this off of Prime Video here in Canada! HOW DID THEY DO THE PART WITH THE BEES. I HAVE TO KNOW!!

Comments

Josh Link

They actually put a thing in his mouth that closed the opening in the back of the throat and filled his mouth with actual bees. He negotiated a deal that he would be paid a $1,000 bonus for every bee sting. He made $23,000 in bonus money.

Just curious how many "gentle youtube viewers" are your patrons? Just saying, lol.

AceLonzo

Nothing like a good murdering spree to say "World, I own my own shit!"

The Tony Todd love makes me feel like the 1990 Night of the Living Dead remake should find its way on the list here eventually 🤔

DaffyStardust

I actually have a very minor role in a super low budget movie that Tony Todd appears in. It's the 2015 version of Live Evil and I play Gary. Don't go out of your way to watch it, because it's pretty uneven, and like I said rather low budget, but hey I got that going for me, right?

Rick Trujillo

Did you know that the recent Candyman is actually a sequel? It’s really well made too

Cl8on

Hey Kat, just wondering. Your demeanor sorta reminds me of a stand-up comedian. Have you ever done any? You're very witty.

Thomas Yanez

Not just a sequel, but a sequel directly to the original movie, ignoring the earlier sequels.

DaffyStardust

Letterboxd has it as "Grave Walkers."

This is probably the most fun fact about this movie. Except not so fun for him. Except kinda fun for him? 23K IN THE 90S?!?!

Josh Link

I just can’t imagine how miserable it must have been to have gotten stung in your mouth.

I HAVE DONE STANDUP THREE TIMES!! First time I killed! Second time I killed! THIRD TIME I FLOPPED SO HARD. FULL CRICKETS. To be honest I never had any interest in doing it, but I was really scared of it, so I kinda felt like I had to!! DO STUFF THAT SCARES YOU!!! (That is also safe!!!)

LOL JESS. Thank you for quoting my favourite line of this watch through. FLOOR TREATS!!!! HAHA

Jessica McBride

She made some questionable decisions. One might argue trusting floor treats may have been the most shocking 😂

DaffyStardust

The one that really stood out to me was when she saw blood everywhere and immediately picked up what was clearly the murder weapon.

Jessica McBride

Yeeeeesss she was not helping her case AT ALL

Brad Bunch

This was my favorite reaction of yours--thanks for watching the film! Does Canadian candy jingle? That must sound terrifying.

The original short story for this by Clive Barker was set in government housing in the UK, as Barker is British, so while it addressed the class disparity, it didn't contain the elements of racial differences that you see in the film. You can definitely see Helen's white privilege just walking into the projects as if her race and class were protection against the danger AND as if the people there were nothing more than subjects of academic interest.
