a day at the suburbs sneak peek (Patreon)

Just wanted to share a little preview for the upcoming suburbs content pack.

With this content pack, I would like to tie in with the concept of the bunker and offer modern and deserted/apocalyptic variants instead of day/night versions. I thought it was very cool how creatively many people were able to implement the two bunker options and wanted to continue these possibilities here as well. It also creates more options to use the maps either in modern or apocalyptic settings. Since this will be a more complex approach than day/night variants, it will also take a bit longer to create the maps.

May I present to you: Turtle Cove

A big thank you to Magnus for the great name suggestion on the Discord Server.As it helps me a lot to put the maps and their content into context, I couldn't help myself but make a little sketch of a possible suburb / small city where the maps could be located in.

I definitely won't be able to convert all the locations into maps for this content pack, but who knows, maybe we can integrate some maps from other content packs, expand the locations over time or have a Turtle Cove content pack in the future ^^.

This is just a rudimentary first sketch and the proportions are way off. I will definitely have to look at the whole thing again in detail. But I just wanted to share it with you anyway - maybe you have some ideas / feedback about what areas you would love as maps or what other areas could be included.

I'm still working on the assets, but I'm almost finished and will start putting together the prefabs and modular rooms starting tomorrow. So sadly there is nothing in that regard that I can show you right now.

Well there are and will be a few more things regarding assets and of course there will also be plenty of new textures and paths.

As for the maps, I haven't yet decided which of the locations I want to realize.

At the moment I would like to integrate a living area at the Cul-de-Sac (the theme just screams for it) and a small house at the lake. I'm definitely still undecided about the others.

So if you have specific wishes (not the big mall XD) then please let me know!

Well, that's it for a first impression. There is still a lot to tackle but I hope we are going to have a wonderful addition with the suburbs pack to make even more detailled maps :).
