Hello Everyone!Venris Here!

Took me 150 hours to be sure that I can review this game. Its first time I make such video so I hope you like it!Positive:

Prologue campaign is just fantastic

Campaign selection screen is way better than in previous games

Custom battles selection screen is better but you need to scroll for units stats

New units models are top notch

Art and music are great

Diplomacy changes are very fitting

Character screen is fantastic with all new sell and fuse options

UI changes are mostly good

New maps design are really good, only few have problems

Random missions seems to be way better than in previous games

Set items

New corruption system is way more clear than before

AI options to enable auto-assign skill points or build provinces

Survival battles are interesting mode but very one time experience

Economy is much more balanced than WH2, but still got some crazy values

Most new campaign mechanics are good

Negative:

Realms of Chaos campaign is 1-2 time experience max

Removal of ruins search instead of fixing them

Autoresolve is broken

Units seems to not do anything in battles sometimes and just stare at each other

Characters starting traits are so weak that you can just pick what is on top

Final battle in terms of mechanics is one if not the worst quest battle CA ever did

Dilemma effects and choices are just bad

Very easy

Need to skip intro every time you click on new campaign

Hero spam is terrible, AI almost never adds them to armies

Some strange design choices like removal of roads buildings from Warhammer 2

A lot of smaller and bigger bugs

Abilities cards lack tons of informations that were in previous games

No information if ability affect “self” anymore, very confusing

No min/max affected units value

No overall healing or damage values, use math noob!

Duration is not showing on many abilities for no reason

Damage values are showing 50% - 100% damage value even when ability has 100% hit chance

Flags are block of texts so good luck seeing when your ability work

Thank you for the key points summary!

I absolutely agree. I also would like to share some of my own observations and thoughts. Siege attrition: I understand what CA wanted to change but the implementation just fell short imho. Major settlements should be able to withstand 2-5 turns without attrition, buildings/technologies should be able to affect that. 10+ turns were excessive in the old game, I agree with that. But major settlements should be able to last at least a few turns. And that the great bastion, which has the entire country behind them to provide support, suffers attrition is just plain retarded. They really did not think that though. Also there could be an agent action to poison food supplies and therefore reduce siege holdout time without attrition. But I guess the hype generating marketing guys did not think of that. :) No noticeable movement bonus for armies, not even on own territory. Moving around once the empire gets larger just sucks. Chasing other armies is like a scene from Benny Hill show (btw I still hope for a mod that starts palying the Benny Hill music once I increase time in the battle map) I still hate how little and few armies can be employed with the punishing CA vanilla mechanic. The game just does not let the player to have fun. Note: I always played SFO w the more armies submod as well. I feel restricted with the standard mechanic. Cavalry sucks. I was looking forward to wreak havoc with the Winged lancers but they are next to useless. :( Bear cavalry is cool but the rest is not really. Kislev faction mechanic does not do anything once player loses the popularity contenst. So it can be ignored as there is no stake and rasputin (or however he is called) can be conquered militarily. Cathay was fun and the closest thing to the Empire in the current game. I just wish they worked out the Great bastion mechanic better. Caravans were great. Although I wish I could launch multiple caravans. E.g. 1 from every capital city I own. I am absolutely in love with the new diplomacy. CA did nail that. I can not wait to see the grand campaign with it! Sometimes missile units forget that they have line of sight and just walk up to targets. E.g. ice guard and streltsi to soul grinders in the final map. In the ice cloak mission battle I could not control my units. I gave them orders but they were just running around aimlessly. Playing as Kislev I hired some gyrocopters and they have a quite nasty graphical bug. Once selected huge white rectangles appear blocking the screen. Deselecting them resolves it fortunately. I only played through 2 campaigns and as a hardcore Empire player I am not really interested in the demons or the ogres. But with these basics I am positive that the grand campaign will be the best fun we have ever had, after SFO mod is done for it. :)
