SO I was watching a movie today and I was thinking that you guys might not be happy that I didn't LOVE it 🙃 I enjoyed it! But possibly not as much as you'd like. Has there been any other movies that I didn't enjoy as much as you hoped I would?
Spoiler alert ⚠️ it was not Top Gunner 🤣

Zack Gallardo

I'd have to go through the list but nothing comes to mind.

JL Green

There have been a movie or two that you enjoyed a little less than me, but I honor and love your honesty. That's the best part of watching YOUR reaction/review. It's given me pause to check myself if I assumed you may like a movie that you didn't. The bottom line is it's not about me, and grown people understand what I'm saying.

therat_mafia

For me it was "The Hangover" just wasn't funny to me, but I had friends who would quote it endlessly and who would decend into fits of laughter after remembering scenes

Bill W

You're not obligated to love (or even LIKE) anything. That's how we know when you really DO like something. Also, if you look closely at the comments.. you see WE don't all love the same things. Chances are there's plenty of us who agree with you. For every one of us who PRAISES a movie, there's likely almost as many who think it's "meh".

Tommy Ivison

You're doing fine Dawn. Don't change a thing.

Tommy Ivison

I have a question for you Dawn. Have you reacted to 'As Good As it Gets'? I searched for it but I can't find it.

Dan Cornyn

I like your reaction whether or not you liked the show. It's just fun getting an honest opinion and being Scottish only makes it better.

RX2904

I‘d rather have you flat out say you didn’t enjoy something than pretend you did. Reaction channels are about trust. I trust you have not seen the movie before and your reaction is genuine. That includes being honest when you did not like something. 🙂

Ragnar Miersch

I prefer honesty. When reactions are anything less they run the risk of being scripted and then...what's the point?

Christopher Piotrowski

Never worry about your opinion, just say how it is. If this offend anyone, F it! Please don’t try to please everyone, this is not possible. Say what you really think. Greetings from Germany, you are awesome.

Grinznmore

Stay honest with your reaction. It's important in audience recommendations and your credibility.

Gary Mackley-Smith

Dr Strangelove. Disapointed that you didn't get it. But I forgive you 😊

Ron

Actually, I subscribe because I want to watch your *authentic* reactions - - not something forced. Just react normally. :) Whether you like a show/movie or not, it's all good either way.

Matt O'Keefe

No problem, if you did not repond well to, did not like, or hated a movie that say I loved. I am always more interested in your thoughts no matter what they are. That is what I believe with all the reactors I watch especially on Patreon. I want your thought. I like you. I would not be a fan of a movie if I could not handle criticism of it.

Dag Einar Bergli

I kinda agree with you. The hangover has a funny plot, but not THAT many laughs for me. If I wanna watch a Todd Phillips-comedy I watch Old School.

Joshua White

Authenticity is what makes a good reaction channel. :)

Chicago Artist Jon

It's all in good fun. Sometimes it's fun to pick apart a movie you don't really like.

Gene Hendricks

I'm always happy when you enjoy a movie, but if you're honest in your reaction then it really doesn't matter to me whether you like it as much as I do. I just enjoy seeing you discover new things.

Eric Bonham

I know exactly the movie you're talking about. I didn't like it very much either.

Bill W

The only one I can think of was Clerks. I expected you to like it much more than you did. At the same time, there's been other movies that you liked, or even LOVED that I didn't much care for, so...

RicoRay317

What's the movie???! 😁😳

Celeste McAllister

If a movie is entertaining or even great you liked it,if the movie is mediocre or it totally sucked, you didn't like it. :)

Prophet2272

I get it, older movies sometimes don't hit the same with modern esthetics. But you have it chance and that's all that matters. I personally don't care for Dances with Wolves (being a Native American) I find the movie dumb. But I enjoy Kevin Costner as a actor.

Richard Stokes

Whatever your reaction is Dawn it's the right reaction because it's your authentic reaction. I was hoping you would love The Breakfast Club but you just enjoyed it but that doesn't make your reaction bad or wrong. And there is context, I watched it closer to when it came out as a kid, and I think it's more enjoyable the more you watch it, that can be a factor. Twin Peaks takes work to get it there are layers and different interpretations so I wouldn't expect you to love David Lynch straight away either, you can only do so much on one watch sometimes

Chris

Everyone has their own taste. Just because I enjoy a movie doesn't mean I expect everyone else to, and that includes you. If you don't like it, or don't care for it as much, that doesn't mean I'm disappointed.

Al

This site (you) is about reaction. So, if it doesn't meet what you feel it should be for a "reaction" movie. Forego it and move on to the next. Don't feel obligated.

Robert Inman

I agree that seeing what you really think is best - only toxic hubris says that what one person likes is what others must like!

Bartleby

Well the obvious answer to this is Apocalypse Now It is considered one of the greatest films of all time. And the story of the making of the film is the stuff of legend. But the reaction you had to that film was always the appropriate reaction. Shock to the horrors and madness of war.

Louis Marzullo

I'll answer this question from a different angle: If you had watched Godfathers 1 & 2 ... and not loved them as much as you did... you would have disappointed me... 😁... (But I would have remained loyal)

Rayna & Mike Sitter

You did shit on The Apartment pretty hard. You spent alot of of time focused on a very minor plot point that seemed to ruin the whole film for you.

Louis Marzullo

Btw, I don't think we're in any danger of Dawn becoming less honest/authentic for ANY reason. She just ain't wired that way.

Louis Marzullo

Anyone else feel the earthquake this morning?

Louis Marzullo

I remember overall it was a 👎 for Dawn but I don't remember the plot point. Good excuse to watch the reaction again!

Jason Hardman

Nope. Your tastes are pretty similar to mine and it wouldn't bother me one bit if you didn't like a film that got my motor running. To each their own.

Roger Freeman

Was it a boy movie? Because I'm pretty sure you're not a boy

WouldYouKindly

Meh Horses for courses Hen people like Marzipan i can't stand it lol u stay classy...

DougJitsu

I'm here for your reaction, not to affirm my own. Be you. That's why we're here.

Jonathan Leak

It doesn't matter we just like your honest opinion everyone has different tastes in what they like

Louis Marzullo

The Bourne Trilogy overall I was hoping you'd like more than you did. But you were right about the overuse of shaky-cam, especially in Ultimatum. And I never would have realized that if not for your reaction! I was happy you did them, if only for the acknowledgment of their influence on John Wick, Taken, Equalizer, etc., etc. ("Monkey Man", anyone?)

timeless_realm

I don’t like ~50% of the movies that are suggested to you. I watch them only because I very much enjoy your take on them. There are a TON of reviewers on YT who give obviously bs reviews and feel they always have to talk over the movie. They ALWAYS show their enlarged face with the move shrunk in the corner so that you have to squint to see it. Your reviews are the best on YT. Don’t feel you have to like everything. Always be you.

Pat Cecil

Like everyone, you are more than entiiled to enjoy what ever you like, and if you don;t like something, hey that's life eh? So don't you fret for a second, because after all, YOU ROCK! And keep on doing what you do the way you want Happy weekend everyone :)

james flack

Hey Celeste, Sup! (my feeble attempt at hiding my age). My guess would be "The Poseidon Adventure". Between the bad special effects and the release of the "Titanic" 25 years later, young people of today might not be too impressed with this 1972 film. -Just Sayin'.....🤔

Jay Perry

I like the reality of your reactions. I don't want you to have to endure movies you don't like, but you don't have to pretend. It's the honesty and reality of your reactions that have me hooked.

Celeste McAllister

Hey James,I think my point was not how realistic the affects are, rather the explosions, fire, heat & risk to cast and crew, that's all real,I watched a WW2 movie,a stunt went wrong,a plane went out of control and burst into flames,if the people on the ground looked like they were running for their lives,it's because they actually were running for their own lives, there's the realism.🔥I'm originally from West Texas,I have seen tornadoes before,90's CGI tornadoes look as fake as toy boats in a bathtub..good scripts, high production values and direction make for a worthwhile movie watch, effects are secondary..

MertzRocks

Always be you, no matter what. WE will adjust.

john ruddick

Some movies are good but very few are truly great.

Louis Marzullo

But she said she enjoyed it, just didn't LOVE it. That sounds like a solid "B" or 3 stars out of 5

Louis Marzullo

That's a great one. I know Bill W, for one, has put it out there. Imagine how much Dawn would love the main character 😉

Prophet2272

I think movies like Last of the Mohicans, little big man, A man called horse a pretty good. I'm also a big fan of Thunderheart.

Patrick Reynolds

I only watch movies that I like that I think you will like. Let the chips fall where they may.

Eric Janssen

I was going to guess Stand By Me--have to be a boy to sympathize with that one--but yes, I'll go with Louis's guess of the Bourne movies. Slick style isn't everything.

Tim Foppiano

Movies can be like food and spirits, everybody has there own palate / taste. Your putting in the effort, tell it like it is. Why were all here, for the fun and enjoyment. Unless it’s a western, then, BEST MOVIE EVER! Just kidding, some of the reviews are movies or such we’ve never seen. I’m 66, and the wife 61. We are young at heart so some of the content may not be our jam and we’ve never seen it. But, sometimes if it appears we will enjoy it, or, it peaks our interest. We may give it a watch. And, sometime we’re surprised, other time maybe not so much. Again your the one doing the watch, review, and seeing to a very fun watch. Thanks, keep up the good work. CHEERS!

warcrimes

If you dont like a movie that I like, heads will roll, Miss Marie. HEADS. WILL. ROLL.

Louis Marzullo

Hey Eric! I meant that I wished Dawn had liked the Bourne Trilogy more than she did 😄 As far as the movie she saw yesterday that she enjoyed but didn't love, I think James Flack guessed right with The Poseidon Adventure, seeing as how it just won the latest poll. Now I better go back & clean up my "Bourne" comment so folks can take back their "likes" 😂

john ruddick

Don't worry I didn't like Top Gun. Maverick either. It was pretty average really if that. It only did well at the cinema for nostalgia reasons.

john ruddick

Plus if you didn't like the movie just be honest and tell us why. Everyone has different tastes in films. For instance some people like the fast and furious franchise. I think they are terrible movies. A great vin diesel movie is, "Find me guilty". A true story where he plays a gangsta on trial.

john ruddick

There should never be a movie that you watch that you don't post the reaction because you don't think people will like it. That A:leads to a slippery slow of doubting yourself and B: Would be a waste of good time and energy. The best reactions are the honest one's and if you didn't like a film for any reason we all want to know why? That's the fun of the channel. As long as you are having fun in the process that's all we care about xxx watching bad movies can be fun too you will understand that more after you have watched , "Ed Wood". I think it would be a good time to watch it. However, you should watch, "Plan 9 from Outer space" with it as a group watch as they kind of compliment each other , I'd say watch Plan 9 first btw it is a really bad movie but it is in the "So bad it's good" territory. And it will help to make more sense of "Ed Wood".

Bill W

I'd be curious to see Dawn's reaction to Plan 9 via MST3K. Hopefully she would get most of the jokes. I'm sure some of them are dated.

Simon

Nope. I don't watch the channel for you to agree with me. And I don't like some movies as much as you do... That Woody Allen future thing was not to my taste, but the reaction was awesome.

Ted Little

We recommend to you movies that we think you would enjoy. It is therefore, disappointing if you don't, just as it is when we recommend a movie to any friend who turns out not to like it. We want you to be happy and have fun reacting to films. That does not in any way diminish our feelings and respect for you. Friends can be honest with each other.

Dave Hunt

Agree totally with most of these. Ages ago you reacted to The Italian Job (one of my favourite films ever) and didn't seem to like it as much as I genuinely thought you might. But neither do some of my best friends. Honesty is more important than someone agreeing with me for the sake of it.

Bill W

There are times when people recommend movies simply because THEY like them, but don't always consider whether the reactor will like them. Having said that.. there have been very few movies that Dawn hasn't loved. There have been several that I predicted she wouldn't like but I was wrong.

Greg S.

It wasn't just nostalgia. It's a great movie and gave the audience what they wanted. In a sea of mediocrity and Hollywood BS, this movie was the shining light.

Harry S

You mean like Beneath The Planet of The Apes; The Worst Movie Ever. I read alot as a kid so I would have the book as well as the movie. I loved all 5 of The Ape Books and Movies. I can only speak for myself but I only ask you to watch a movie; you dont have to like it. We are watching you for 2 hours, you cannot fake liking a movie, we can tell. I can take it when you say its the Worst Movie Ever.

Harry S

I have a vague memory of watching the apartment over 50 years ago as a kid. It was about a guy trying to kiss up to his bosses by letting them have sex with their mistress in his apartment without their wives finding out. That might have been good back in the day, 60 years ago, but I think times have changed just a little bit.

Bartleby

But then she watched Escape From the Planet of the Apes and is back on board!

Bill W

For Vin Diesel, I thought Boiler Room was pretty interesting.
