Umm... BEST MOVIE EVER!!!!! BTW, that is Penny Benjamin, she was mentioned at the begining of Top Gun 1986.

Haha, "It was OK" was my reaction, too. I think it was good enough that it doesn't hurt the franchise, but still slightly overrated because of the nostalgia factor.

Just watched it. I never made the Star Wars connection before, and it's pretty obvious. Not that I mind it.

"Best movie ever!" is pretty subjective, so I'm not sure who was expecting you to come to that conclusion. You still looked like you really enjoyed it overall and had a fun time though, which is great!

Great movie I think . Great reaction too. Val Kilmer battled throat cancer in real life . Was diagnosed back in 2014.

At your age, you probably watch the two movies back-to-back, so yeah, I get that the story probably felt the same to you, but as a young teenager who saw the original in the theater and having to wait 30+ years to see the sequel, it felt pretty fresh and new to me :)

I read an article that Tom Cruise said he wouldn't do the film unless they invited Val Kilmer back to do Ice Man. They hired audio specialists who used A.I. to help him speak in the scene.
