Guess some movies are just meant to leave you scratching your head! Tremors on the other hand was a much easier watch 😅

Ooo, Tremors, fun

JL Green

Sorry, but Deadwood is the only reaction I'm looking forward to seeing.

With the release dates so close I was disappointed in 12 Monkeys after seeing Seven so close together.

Dawn, since you watched Reservoir Dogs, lot of people recommending various Tarantino films including the martial arts movies Tarantino made, Kill Bill. Well seeing as how you’ve never actually watched any martial arts movies of any kind on the channel. Your first should definitely not be from a white boy from California. Before you get anywhere near Kill Bill, some martial arts classics that are essential MUST SEE’s. This is martial arts and cinema legend Bruce Lee. His most iconic film. If you’re going to watch one Bruce Lee film, this is the one. “Enter the Dragon” (1973) And every one of these martial arts films is a classic and stars a legend of the field and genre. “Drunken Master 2” or “Legend of Drunken Master” (1994) “Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon”(2000) “Hero” (2002) “Ip Man” (2008) Do make the effort to watch at least these before getting to the modern American Hollywood take on martial arts.

12 Monkeys is phenomenal and a totally different type of film than Seven. There’s no reason to even compare those films other than Brad Pitt appearing in both.

Enter the Dragon is in English. Drunken Master 2 can be watched dubbed as it’s comedic and the main actor does his own English dubbing. You can start with Drunken Master 2. You don’t need to watch the first one which is from the 70s. The rest should be watched subtitled

back in 1996 I watched them within a month of each other. So Seven was still fresh on my mind.

I suppose both films do have a stylized visual grittiness about them.

Another class week...12 Monkeys and tremors fantastic.

Tremors is a good time. Would've made for a great double feature with They Live... Will you watch the poll runner-up, Dawn? I think it's got B.M.E. potential.

Robert Nelson

Dawn, have you watched The Last of Us? It's a series.
