I found your YouTube channel last weekend and have been binge watching reviews for several days. Your comments and observations are hilarious. Just became a Patreon today and I Can’t wait to see what you have to say about this classic. I’ll be watching along with you this evening. Should make for a fun Friday night. PS. You need to see Kill Bill. 😎

Robert Rodriguez is an extraordinary director who actually played a very important role in the modernization of filmmaking along with George Lucas around the beginning of the century.

Thanks John. I've got to say, when Dawn didn't like Wendy in the Shining, and thought said Darth Vader looked like an egg when he removed his helmet in Empire strikes back, I knew I'd found a new movie watching buddy.

Agreed. I have a few favorites that I subscribe to but this is my only Patreon. It’s just uniquely entertaining. I’m not sure if she realizes how funny she is.

The dad is played by Harvey Keitel Yes he was in Pulp Fiction as well as Reservoir Dogs. But you saw him last in Taxi Driver. Harvey Keitel was Jodi Foster’s pimp. You saw him first on the channel in Grand Budapest Hotel. He was the leader of the prison gang that helps Ralph Fiennes break out when they take him along.

And the characters walking towards the camera, with a massive explosion going on behind them in the background is a signature Robert Rodriguez shot. You would see that shot in many Robert Rodriguez films.

And it was this director, Robert Rodriguez, who made Selma Hayek famous in America and the rest of the west when he cast her in his second movie, “Desperado” with Antonio Banderas

Another enjoyable evening spent with my favorite Scottish pixie. I make notes like Miss Dawn does, as well, but not about the movies, about the things she says and does so I can comment on them. Then I remember that doing so would possibly spoil the video for some of my fellow Patrons, so I just make them for myself, and I laugh and laugh and laugh. Shame you folks don't get to read them, some are real "bangers".

To be fair to Wendy from The Shining though, Dawn doesn’t like most of the lead female characters in any movie. At least that was the case back when she watched Shining. She’s turned into much more of a softie since then.
