Who gave us The Bank Dick?? BLESS!! Jackie Brown great. Never saw King's Speech. Solid week!

Bartleby

No need to rush through Tarantino’s films Dawn. It’s a big world of movies! There’s a lot of great stuff out there from amazing directors from all over the world. You seem to get a bit obsessed with things don’t ya LOL

May I suggest an “Oscar Best Pictures 1990s” poll? There are some great films in this category: - As Good As It Gets (Jack Nicholson and Helen Hunt) 👍👍👍

Happy Hanukkah

"The Bank Dick, released as The Bank Detective in the United Kingdom" :-)

Bartleby

You mean a patron didn’t pick that porno about the girl who will do “anything” for a bank loan?!

Bartleby

I was going to ask if this was Dawn’s introduction to Geoffrey Rush. Then I remembered she saw him in Pirates of the Caribbean

Speaking of pornos Mr B, do you know where John Holmes is buried?........Peter Grave's yard......😁

Bartleby

Speaking of porno’s and John Holmes, did you ever see the movie “Wonderland” Val Kilmer plays John Holmes. The movie dramatizes his involvement with that murder. The true story is a hell of a lot crazier and darker than just that one scene with Alfred Molina and Mark Wahlberg

Happy Hanukkah

Since Geoffrey Rush was mentioned, I shall once again recommend Intolerable Cruelty (2003). (Small part by Rush.)

Louis Marzullo

Young John Holmes & Ken Osmond (Eddie Haskell from "Leave it to Beaver", yuk yuk)... separated at birth? 🤔

Louis Marzullo

@James. Groucho in a letter to Dick Cavett: "Did you ever notice Peter O'Toole has a double phallic name? Beats you by one" 🤣 (Wonder if Dawn has read that one yet).

james flack

Rumor has it that Groucho once called the police on his own party just so's he could go to bed........O.K. Ladies and Germs, it's past my bedtime, I have my warm milk, my heating pad and of course a cup of water with a dissolving Efferdent tablet, see everyone later. 🥱😴

The Bank Dick? Oh, if you’re fangirling over the Marx Brothers, WC Fields will be a new experience. Imagine Marx humor with a mix of Walter Matthau and Basil Fawlty. Unfortunately, it’s one of the only Fields movies that IS on streaming—“It’s a Gift” and “Never Give a Sucker an Even Break” are on disk only, and his best-known one, “My Little Chickadee”…frankly stinks. (There’s also his shorts”, “The Golf Specialist” and “The Fatal Glass of Beer”, that are much easier to find on YouTube.)
