Can't wait to watch this! Also, PLEASE don’t avoid Rocky because you mistakenly think that it’s just a “boy’s movie”. Best Picture. Best Director. Nominated for a bunch more including Best Actor, Best Actress!, two Best Supporting Actors and Best Screenplay (by Stallone himself)

Just watching along so thought I'd do this while I remember. Guerilla Warfare can be defined as "engagement in or the activities involved in a war fought by small groups of irregular soldiers against typically larger regular forces" :)

I think you’d actually like the Rocky movies, well the first several anyway. The orange they referred to at the beginning was Agent Orange, it was a chemical used back in the Vietnam war to kill vegetation but had some very bad side effects.

So excited to see your post of this movie. Great seeing the whole movie again. This movie was based off a book, which is why I think it's so good. The next ones are much more ACTION and less story. I think you would LOVE Quigly down under. Western set in Australia with Tom Selleck. My favorite movie of his. But you want good audio for that one as the music is amazing. Also the Expendable movies have both Arnie and Stallone in them. There might be others, but they were kind of rivals for action movies in the 80s and 90s, always trying to out do each other.

This was filmed in Hope, BC, Canada. A quiet village 75 miles north of where I live here in Bellingham, Wa. USA. Beautiful scenery!

Great reaction, Dawn. The Movie is based on the 1972 novel First Blood by David Morrell and takes place in the fictitious town of Hope, Washington. However much of the movie was filmed in the real town of Hope, British Columbia. The “Orange stuff” that caused Rambo’s old comrade to die of cancer refers to Agent Orange. Agent Orange is a chemical herbicide and defoliant, one of the tactical use Rainbow Herbicides. It was used by the U.S. military as part of its herbicidal warfare program, Operation Ranch Hand, during the Vietnam War from 1961 to 1971. In addition to its damaging environmental effects, traces of dioxin found in the mixture have caused major health problems for many individuals who were exposed, and their offspring. The government of Vietnam says that up to four million people in Vietnam were exposed to the defoliant, and as many as three million people have suffered illness because of Agent Orange. The U.S. government has documented cases of leukaemia, Hodgkin's lymphoma, and various kinds of cancer in exposed U.S. military veterans. An epidemiological study done by the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention showed that there was an increase in the rate of birth defects in the children of military personnel as a result of Agent Orange. Agent Orange has also caused enormous environmental damage in Vietnam. Over 3,100,000 ha (7,700,000 acres) or 31,000 km2 (12,000 sq. mi) of forest were defoliated. Defoliants eroded tree cover and seedling forest stock, making reforestation difficult in numerous areas. Animal species diversity is sharply reduced in contrast with unsprayed areas. Rambo is stated to be an ex-Green Beret. The United States Army Special Forces, colloquially known as the "Green Berets" due to their distinctive service headgear, are a special operations force of the United States Army. The Green Berets are geared towards nine doctrinal missions: unconventional warfare, foreign internal defence, direct action, counterterrorism, counterinsurgency, special reconnaissance, information operations, counter-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, and security force assistance. They are capable of hostage rescue and combat search and rescue if they are needed. Guerrilla warfare is a form of unconventional warfare in which small groups of irregular military, such as rebels, partisans, paramilitary personnel or armed civilians including recruited children, use ambushes, sabotage, terrorism, raids, petty warfare or hit-and-run tactics in a rebellion, in a violent conflict, in a war or in a civil war to fight against regular military, police or rival insurgent forces.
