A new week with a fresh serving of reactions 😁 The only one I've watched so far is the episode of Firefly. I've still got to watch 'At the Circus' and 'American Sniper' (it's been a bit of a mad house this past week with joiners and painters coming and going), so, no spoilers for those two movies please 😊

Who's excited for more Marx Brothers? 🙋🏼‍♀️ I know a lot of you have been asking for 'Animal Crackers' and 'The Cocoanuts', but I just can't find them anywhere to watch here in the UK 😩

Oh excellent. American Sniper is based on true events. It's a good film, quite harrowing and again shows the impact of PTSD. I think you will really enjoy it. And again, Firefly great! Ain't seen At the Circus so looking forward to it.

We can never have enough of Minnie Marx's boys!

Totally random movie suggestion. Just in case it’s not on your list. “Interview With The Vampire” (1994)

At the Circus? While you could say there aren’t any truly BAD Marx Brothers, they hit a slow decline after A Day at the Races, and lost their edge at MGM. The good stuff is still in their early Paramount/Universal ones, but at least here, Groucho gets one of his most famous signature songs. (When you put all five of the early films on your original, list of choices, we thought you had the disk boxset.)

Oh yeah, and when you’re ready to come back to Charlie Chaplin, recommend his film “The Gold Rush” (1925)

Dawn's Coming Attractions have arrived! Fellow fans, tell everyone you know to tell a friend to tell everyone they know to tell their friends to tell everyone they know to tell everyone else they don't know to tell everyone left who never knew to tell their friends to spread the generous truths that Dawn's vids absolutely positively rock! For those who don't know, now they'll know. :)

Can I recommend the film "It's a Gift" with W.C. Fields, from 1934?? Please consider it in the future. If not Fields, then how about "Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein" from 1948. But, before you watch that you should probably watch the original "The Wolfman" with Lon Chaney Jr., from 1941 I think. It's only an hour and fifteen minutes long, but it will give you the background. Thank you Dawn.

Can't wait to hear Groucho's "Lydia the Tattooed Lady"! Oh, Lydia, oh Lydia, oh have you met Lydia......

If you need a short filler between tv shows, I recommend 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy' (1981), It's a hilarious comedy that's only 6 episodes, a half hour each.

I'm actually really really sad that Firefly is approaching the end. But, perversely, I can't wait for Serenity to hurry up and get here.

To help us all recover from Marx bros. withdrawal after At The Circus, please segue right to Laurel & Hardy, Mae West & W.C. Fields. You'll love them every bit as much as the bros!

I stay a patron because you like the Marx Brothers. A group of fun comedy movies starred Bob Hope and Bing Crosby. They were known as their 'Road Pictures'. In rated order: Road To Morocco, Road To Utopia, Road To Zanzibar, Road To Rio, Road To Singapore, Road To Bali, Road To Hong Kong. Made between 1940 - 1960. These might be worth a look. If you try one, Road To Morocco would be the best bet.
