A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who sent me something 😊 You're all far to generous!

I hope you enjoy our second PO Box haul video, this time with my amazing assistant, Carmen 😁

Wow! That's a lot of DVDs. I suppose that once you have watched them you can give them away to friends or a charity shop, as with duplicates. There are some very generous people out there.

Liam Christie

Great to see you getting sent such fun things, and lots to watch! I would think with that many DVD's - when you watch them - might be best giving them into a Charity shop? Anything I send you (if its duplicate) I would not mind you sending on to someone or giving it to Charity at all.

Louis Marzullo

What should you do with the doubles? Have you ever watched "Seinfeld"? Major "re-gifting" potential there! 🤣

Clayton Johnson

I was wondering why you moved your nose ring to the other nostril, then I noticed all the titles were written backwards, and thus I figured out the mystery.

Tim Boxall

Don't know if it's doable, but can you put up a spreadsheet or summat so we can see what titles you have? Could avoid doubles (though that would deny the charity shop a haul!)

As far as I'm concerned, Dawn, once given, only YOU honestly have the right to decide duplicate DVDs fates. A gift is officially your property. It's a sincere courtesy for you to even ask fans tho. You are so very kind, Dawn! Speaking strictly only for myself, feel free to sell off doubles I might've sent to support your channel. That way, my gifts still benefit YOU. That's the spirit they were given in & I'd really prefer you do that most. If you want to give them away to family, friends, fans, etc, I've absolutely no complaints about that either. :)

DVDs are yours to do what you want. Keep them. Sell them to a DVD/CD resale shop. Give them to friends/family. Donate them to schools, libraries, shelters. If you use the website www.letterboxd.com you can just click, and create a list of movies you own and/or have already reacted to. I'm pretty sure it's free.

Louis Marzullo

Can you say the name of each film in the future? Only caught a few titles. One excited me very much: "The Third Man". In my all-time top ten. And please work on your Groucho impression! The world needs it!

Bill W

Yes, put the Lawgiver next to John Wick. I would love to hear Keanu Reeves say "Get your paws off me you damn dirty ape!"

Bartleby

The Planet of the Apes is calling you back Dawn.

Dawn, love these PO box opening vids! It's so humbling to see you with our gifts to you. In future PO Box vids, maybe show a list on screen of all the dvd's & stuff you currently own, or have seen & just can't react to at all. There's a big problem with you showing a list of what you need tho. I.E. 30 fans could buy you the exact same things over and over & other stuff gets missed entirely. Best I can think of is show a list of titles of films or series in a special poll. Then 1st fan to post a vote for an item on the poll wins & buys & sends it. That way, if you show a list of 25 films, each poll spot has one vote that commits to buying it. They confirm that they will send it in comments. You could call them Wish List polls. It's better than fans sending hundreds of doubles blindly for sure. But this HAS to be taken seriously by fans. No trolling. Any fans who troll shouldn't be trusted at all going forward. If they can't after committing, they should just say so in comments. Just possible ideas to consider. :)

FWIW, some reactors do a live chat on youtube for PO unBoxing, etc. They typically set aside a few hours for it. Regarding your growing film collection, some reactors have a GoogleDocs spreadsheet and other have a Letterboxd account. Both let you note which films you've already seen and which you haven't. A spreadsheet, however, would let you to set up arbitrary fields, such as who sent the DVD, your rating of the movie/show, and links to reactions. So more flexible than letterboxd. letterbod is a bit easier and shows the DVD cover art, so that's a nice feature.

I sent a set of six screwball comedies: It Happened One Night, Twentieth Century, My Man Godfrey, Libeled Lady, His Girl Friday, and The Philadelphia Story.

Simon

Doubles... Regift or sell. They're yours to do what you like with 🤷 I actually think that if you can sell them at all, it would offset part of the cost of things like cameras, microphones and headsets. Love the video btw. It's a nice part of this little community.

Simon

Oh, and next time, would you mind flipping the video so we can read the writing?

Louis Marzullo

Your expression of gratitude in the photo is really heartwarming. Thank you! 🙂

I just hope all the stuff I send is useful to you.
