I just wanted a whip. 😉😳

Matt O'Keefe

Ross Geller would probably be annoyed with you calling him an archeologist like Indy. Ross is a paleontologist.

Matt O'Keefe

The Ark in this is not the same as Noah's Ark(the big boat).

Thomas Taylor

You know there will need to be some sort of reaction video phase for all the younger generations as they learn what the background of all the comments on the shows they watch. There is just so very much of it to absorb, but just knowing what something is referring to vs. feeling what it refers to is something different to me.

I wasn't even a teenager when this came out. However, at the time I saw this... I still wanted to be Buck Rogers in the 25th Century & to marry Col. Wilma Deering. Well, you did say don't lie. Btw, I agree, that villain was a fanny, lol!!! Also, yes, that was "your" bazooka", once you said that & claimed it! Idk what to make of the new Indiana Jones movie coming out from Disney. I'm truly happy Harrison Ford is returning but I have concerns whether this final installment will measure up. All the Indiana Jones films have been directed by Steven Spielberg up until this last one. I like him best as Indy's director. Why did he walk away from this project? That really worries me. Without Steven Spielberg or George Lucas involved, will Disney get Indy right? We'll see, won't we? Auf wiedersehen, Dawn. A banging vid, indeed! :)

This is one of your best editing efforts ever! So glad you liked it as much as we all do! There are 3 more movies after this. #2 is a bit worse but many feel #3 is the best of the series starring one of your favorite actors!! #4 wasn't that good. Oh, and please don't test your propelIer theory in real life!! I believe this is what you're looking for, Thor and Dr. Jones... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DbY_IfcKM9s&ab_channel=pinoccio

Scott

I did then, and still do! 😁

JL Green

Ha ha 😂, not me. However, I would like to hear how those who did lost an eye, arm or some other appendage because no one could experience what Indiana Jones experienced and be lucky enough to keep all their body parts lol 😆 😜 😀 😄 😅

oh yes, spinning propellers are lethal! They usually have tips painted yellow or red to make the more visible, but sadly, there have been err, mishaps.

Simon

Yeah, they do have to pull that whole plane along! Pretty powerful.

Simon

Great reaction as always. Yes, they are all worth watching! They're all great for different reasons. And yes, the new one is still Harrison Ford. Apparently Hitler was obsessed with occult objects and had people looking for them so he could tap into their power to help him win the war.

The end of the film is actually an homage to a certain classic film. I won’t say what film as to not spoil it for you. I imagine you will watch this classic at some point. The idea there being that the warehouse filled with random things deemed classified and the Ark is just one item that will simply be lost among the many random items in this vast warehouse. The context of the scene and its meaning makes more sense if you understand what the homage it is making reference to is.

Bill W

The first 3 films are very good. Everyone ranks them differently. For me it's 1, 3 and then 2. The 2nd one actually takes place before the first one, but it is not intended to be a prequel. They were all going to be separate stories, independent of one another like the serial films of the '30s and '40s. The 4th film ",Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" is shite. But I won't tell you not to watch it, especially if you intend to watch the new one, since there may be continuity factors.

Simon

Spielberg is from a Ukranian orthodox Jewish family, and some of his films deal with issues related to anti-semitism, particularly the Nazis. Since you didn’t go to Sunday school, The Ark of the Covenant is central to the story of Moses from the book of Exodus in the Torah (first five books of the Old Testament), and while important to the three Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam), for the Jews it is part of the story of the Jews’ deliverance from slavery in Egypt to the promised land in Israel. This is sort of a retelling of that story with Indy playing the part of Moses, liberating the Ark from Egypt, and ultimately God exacting a comic book style revenge on the Nazis for their killing and enslavement of Jewish people by melting their faces off. Others have noted that Hitler was obsessed with archeology, and in a lot of supernatural stories it’s usually portrayed as the Nazis gaining power to win the war. The basis for this is that many Nazis — Heinrich Himmler (SS) in particular — was obsessed with using archeological “evidence” to build a manufactured mythology which portrayed the German people as the master race. As a tool for indoctrination, that turned out to be the Nazi’s most powerful weapon. You didn’t notice that Sallah was played by John Rhys-Davies who played Gimli in LOTR. He’s obviously taller in this film. The general consensus is that 1 and 3 are great, 2 is ok and 4 was a complete disaster. I’m partial to 3.

Roger Freeman

When Hitler was a young man he would spend time in a museum to stay warm. His own account of when he saw the spear head that pierced Jesus shows he was possessed staring at it. From that point on he was obsessed with occult objects. It also explains his charismatic abilities.

One of the most perfectly crafted films ever. Heavily relied on storyboards. Hitchcock was big on story boarding too. Please don’t say you liked the Rambo movies better than this. lol

Devlin Domini

Saw this in the theater and everyone let out an audible sigh of relief when that thing turned out to be just a coat hanger.
