Just to keep you guys in the loop a bit more 😁 At the start of the month I’ll let you see what my thoughts are for the rest of the month. This is what I’m thinking so far!

Silence of the lambs I’m not sure about. When I found the dvd for it I realised it was part of a box set so I’m unsure if I need to watch another movie before this one? Google is no help 🤣

Live stream is pencilled in for now but I’m pretty sure it’ll be that date. Unless there’s some worldwide thing that everyone will be attending that I don’t know about?? 🤔

“I’ll let you see what my thoughts are for the rest of the month” ... that’s certainly a new and weird kind of psychic ability. (Yes bad jokes will be made) RE silence of the lambs. It is the first movie. It’s not first in source material but as far as the movies go it’s the one to watch first.

kajota

You don't need to watch anything else before watching Silence of the Lambs. You're good.

Bill W

You have excellent penmanship!

Bartleby

And I for one am psyched about you watching Goodfellas and Whiplash. Both very strong films!

Eric Janssen

Again, Silence of the Lambs isn't the first book, but it's THE movie the series started with. The two "Hannibal" sequels are wretchedly awful, and "Red Dragon" was the first book filmed later, which actually isn't too bad. And nice to see the 1969 True Grit up there, since you've been curious to see John Wayne. Most reactors only know the '10 remake, which is okay but nowhere near the classic.

Brian L Hughes

Another series I really liked was Romancing the Stone and The Jewel of the Nile starring Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner

Gary Trousdale

Silence of the Lambs is pretty much a stand alone movie. It’s also the movie that won the Oscar for best picture in 1991, beating JFK and Beauty and the Beast.

Michael Lynch

Hell yes to silence of the lambs. That’s the only one you need to watch.

Scott

Hello!? Why is nobody yakkin about Maltese Falcon?! An absolutely incredible movie that I, for one, can't wait to see our Scottish reactor diva react to! Yay! 😍

Damien Fenton

You only need to watch Silence of the Lambs. In fact, it is probably a better experience if you haven't watched the others.

Louis Marzullo

Couldn't agree more. If you watch Red Dragon first, it'll really spoil the impact of Silence. Dragon is a very good film; Silence is a masterpiece. Hannibal is neither but still weirdly a fun watch. Hannibal Rising you can skip. R.I.P. Gaspard Ulliel

Will 3 reactions per week be coming back to YT? And your handwriting is adorable (no surprise)😁

Retro Maven

Any world wide thing occurring on your possible Live Stream 23rd date should check with YOU first. I mean everyone here has the Live Stream as OUR priority!!! 😁

I live between Ft Smith and McAlister so "True Grit" is one of my favorites even with the fact they filmed it is a different state that does not look anything like this part of Oklahoma. The ending location is based on a state park that just a 15 minute drive away.

Michael Hartsell

Watching "Goodfellas" before "The Godfather" seems ass backwards to me.

Michael Hartsell

Whiplash will be fun for the boys, not men but boys. Gen Z flick, I'll have to pass on this one. Remember most all movies after 1988 sucks with a few exceptions.

Michael Hartsell

"The Silence of the Lambs" is an excellent film that stands on its own. Overall, a good month's lineup however wks 3 and 5 are a little light.

JL Green

You don't have to watch another movie before this, but I should tell you Silence of The Lambs is a remake of Michael Mann's movie "Manhunter."

Simon

Haha. You said PP. I'm such a child.

Bill Bryant

SOOOO looking forward to Silence of the Lambs. It swept the Academy Awards that year, best actor, best actress, best picture, best director, etc.
