They’re both good on their own. 49 is kind of a continuation of the first one.

So Dawn, you remember in the film, Harrison Ford’s character Deckard daydreaming about a unicorn. Then at the end of the film, an origami unicorn is left at his door by the detective with a cane. Letting Harrison Ford’s character know that he had been there and he’s giving him a chance to run away. And by specifically making the origami sculpture a unicorn, he was letting him know that he knew what he was daydreaming about. Why and how would he know that? So ponder that. And if you noticed the replicants and replicant animals, occasionally their eyes will shine a kind of golden twinkle. You see it in the owl, you see it with Rachel in Deckard’s apartment. And in one shot you even see it with Deckard, Ford’s character. So the golden twinkle in the eye would be the short cut test.

2049 is more than worth a watch; it's a MUST watch. 🙂

Just my humble opinion...didn't really care for 2049.

You should only watch 2049 if you like Harrison Ford 😁

Well, all that's left over from Nov is Apocalypse Now and Superman 2! Whoop whoop!

Mr. Writhms

Replicants are not like robots. They are fully human, only bio-engineered. Not like clones, but put together out of man-made biological fully grown limbs and organs, tailor made. That's why you need the Voight-Kampff (question) test to identify one.

Yes the movie is made to make you wonder if Deckard was a replicant or not. Does he also only have a short time to live, or is he fully human. One of the best sci-fi movies
