I almost walked out of the theater when I went and saw Bourne Supremacy. There was a major change in the movie compared to the book that I was not happy about.

Bartleby

Damn girl! You’re going to burn through these Clint Eastwood westerns in no time. Remember, as with the Marx Brothers, once you watch them all, that’s it.

Nathan Wolff

I suggest that next week we watch a comedy.

james flack

Dawn, remember, when you watch "Pale Rider", expect "High Plains Drifter" vibes.

Bill W

I much preferred the Pale Rider iteration of this character/story. It's a little less sensational, and I think he did a better job directing this one.

Bill W

That's ok. There's plenty of other Westerns. Also...since everyone's favorites are different, she'll be pressured to watch EVERY John Wayne movie, EVERY Dirty Harry sequel, EVERY James Bond etc....

facechasebass

Bone Tomahawk is an amazing modern western/horror. Would love to see your reaction to this film

Robert Sackrider

‘The Wild Bunch’ and ‘Once Upon a Time in the West’ are probably the best non-Eastwood westerns of cinema.

Chicago Artist Jon

I’m always pushing The Odd Couple with Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau. Or something silly like Ghost Busters might be fun.

Bill W

She needs to see Mike Myers Scottish in So I Married an Axe Murderer.

Bartleby

She mentioned in a video the idea of alternating westerns from John Wayne, to Clint Eastwood, to one non Wayne, non Eastwood western. I think that’s a solid approach and strategy. And I do love that Dawn is doing all the classic westerns before touching any of the modern westerns. Fake film geek girls be damned!! LOL

Bartleby

100% agree! Can’t wait for Dawn to get to those. She’s already taken a liking to Charles Bronson who she saw in The Magnificent Seven and The Dirty Dozen. Sure she’ll love him in Once Upon a Time in the West.

Dawn I sent you a DM about the movie, "The Killing Field's" please read it before you consider watching that movie I think it's important.

Elliot Nesterman

For your next Western I suggest you go back to John Ford's 1939 masterpiece, "Stagecoach." It was Ford's first film with John Wayne, and the film that made Wayne a star.

Michael Hartsell

Oh Dawn you are so wonderful! This has to be the greatest collection of reaction material ever. I mean the move you made by skipping right over "Godfather II", but followed right up with the second stupid "Bourne" movie is legendary.

Louis Marzullo

Mike, where the hell ya been?? Everyone's been waiting with bated breath for your Saltburn review!! 😄 (P.S.- Hope this doesn't violate our truce)

james flack

Mr. Bartleby, if you ever get a chance to watch the film "Hard Times" (1975), starring Charles Bronson, by all means. do so. It's not a Western, but from the little bit I know about you from your comments, I think you might really enjoy it. -Just sayin'........🤔

Michael Hartsell

Yeah we're still good Louis, I seemed to have gotten away from movie reactions but still bounce in from time to time to just carry on and have a little fun, you know. I'm sure Saltburn is a "doosie".
