You will need your own copy of the movie to watch along! 😁

You guys know how much I love Rick and Morty so this was a pleasant surprise 😁

Akira is a very complicated science fiction story. A lot of people were befuddled by it on first viewing. This is common. Yes, it is a film that merits multiple viewings and more will be gleaned and illuminated upon rewatches.

Jerry Smith accuses Rick "Did you turn my son into an Akira!?" 😄 haha lol

That opening scene. Tokyo. That flash of light so bright it overwhelms the camera and everything loses color. From the epicenter an angry blast of destruction forming almost a perfect sphere as it decimates everything in its path. This, this is the power!

Yes it's a film that gets better when watched for a second time as it gives the viewer a chance to see the many details they missed the first time. There are lots of added touches the animators put in to really flesh out some of the scenes, especially in some of the wide angle shots.

Dawn did actually get and understand quite a lot of this movie. I feel like she got more of this film than many other reactors I’ve seen watch this film.

All I can say is Akira is a landmark film, one that influenced many other films besides just Anime films. It is one of my favorite films ever. And I hope you get to watch other landmark films. Like Ninja Scroll, Fist Of The Northstar, Ghost in the Shell, etc.. , but I must give you a heads up. DON'T react to any Studio Ghibli films. That company has caused many YouTube streamers to lose their channels because they will strike their channel.

Or just do those Studio Ghibli films as Patreon exclusives to play it safe.
