"Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid"? Hey! Don't tell dead men what to do! They won't hear you.

“Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey” when?

"A little bit of sad thrown in" I tried to warn him. "Duck! Duck, Goose!" I said. But he wouldn't listen to me... 😔

Top Gun was directed by Tony Scott, the brother of director Ridley Scott. Tom Cruise had actually worked on a film with Ridley Scott that came out just the year before Top Gun did. Ridley Scott’s “Legend” (1985) It’s a fascinating, strange, and beautiful film! Tom Cruise stars. Recommend going with the theatrical cut for this one as the music in the theatrical cut is quite special. The director’s cut uses a traditional music score that doesn’t hit anywhere near as much as the theatrical cuts does. The music of a film plays a huge role in how you feel about the finished movie. And another MUST SEE film from Top Gun director Tony Scott, “True Romance” (1993) Recommend director’s cut for this one. You will love this film!!!

Legend is a movie I should have seen but have yet to get around to. I've seen True Romance get recommended often recently. It seems well suited for Dawn.

Legend is Tom Cruise like you’ve never seen him in any other movie. I think that’s pretty safe to say. The film is absolutely gorgeous on blu ray HD on a 4K TV. It is jaw droopingly beautiful! True Romance is definitely another visually wondrous and aesthetically pleasing film. Highly recommend both if you haven’t seen them yet. Both brothers know how to create beautiful images with a compelling story

Same ol shit different week. I know why Dawn lowered her prices awhile back, she knew damn well what was coming. Disgraceful

As always excited to your reaction(s)!

Of course if Dawn watches Top Gun, that opens us up for Top Gun Maverick, Hot Shots 1 and part deaux ;)

I've wanted to get some reactor to watch Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid (after the comment on Last Remake, right?), but it helps to know that most of the jokes depend on knowing classic 40's stars like Humphrey Bogart and Bette Davis, and 40's movies like Double Indemnity or White Heat. It's funny even if you don't, but if you feel like a punchline or two is going over your head...

Two iconic actors with some of the most brilliantly written dialogue. I heard Tony Scott say he likes to look at actors as colors and how they will contrast and compliment each other. Which energy a particular actor brings and how another actors will offset each others for something new and unique. An interesting way to think about actors and how to utilize them in filmmaking.

Dawn, suggestions for St. Patrick's Day!! The Commitments (1991) Unemployed young folk from Dublin form a band playing American Soul music. The Wind That Shakes The Barley (2006) Cillian Murphy, Liam Cunningham - set during the Irish War for Independence and the Irish Civil War (1919-1923)

Jonathan Leak

Definitely The Commitments love that film 👍

St. Patrick’s Day? Last year, the Reactor-verse finally got out of its Commitments/Boondock amnesia and finally discovered John Wayne in “The Quiet Man”. Let’s make this the year the Reactor-verse finally discovers Fred Astaire in “Finian’s Rainbow”. 🍀🌈 https://youtu.be/C1UMthWB8oM?si=ZmVQGtASZM0UxLF-

I very much enjoyed that reaction. It has been years since I have seen Top Gun.
