I honestly love this for Souta, I really do. I've been waiting for this. It's good he has Keisuke to advise him but it's even better to have someone has an experience ( though my bad if I'm assuming on Keisuke's part). Now, while thinking about it in order for this work Tbh Nao will need someone to talk to.The main person he talks to is Souta who confessed to him. Even if this is a wake up call, I doubt he'll actually do something. The end karaoke scene revealed how hurt Souta was and this might have taken him back. Souta doesn't deserve someone who is going to give themselves partially. Not when he came to terms of who he is fully. This might play into Nao's self worth. To be unafraid to openly hug him like that. Last thing Nao would want to do is hurt him more. He's afraid to do something he has not a complete understanding of. He might end up doing things that'll end up hurting Souta more.This is new to him, an especially significant change. It'd be wrong for him to approach Souta for the spur of jealousy.

Even if this guy is gay/bi, honestly I kinda hope it's not the route of "Souta and this guy starts seeing each other" kinda thing. I just hope this gives Souta that little "it'll be okay" push where he starts to love himself a bit more. I feel he has been suffering in silence for so long and he has some great friends around him who support him to get through it. I want both the babies to have time to really heal and love themselves a bit. I think Nao may succumb to a bit of jealousy, maybe. But I think with everything that he's gone through, he took needs a bit of distance to really see Souta is someone he should really consider and maybe give a chance to see how much he loves Nao, reflect on the things he's done for Nao since his mum passed, and just see it was all from the heart. I’m so glad Souta’s support system keeps getting bigger and that he’s able to be himself more often !!! I think it will really help him with his confidence issues. However, I’m also really sad for Nao who has literally no one right now. Like, he’s only family present is his dad who he doesn’t really talk to, and his only “friend” left is Arashi, who I don’t think he has really confided into (probably didn’t feel the need because he had Souta, and now that his relationship with him has gone bad, he probably doesn’t want this to happen again). I really hope keisuke tries to talk to him because, right now, he must be so sad. And what's more, Souta is in love with Nao. He's fallen in lo e with a Guy after seventeen years of liking girls. I don't know how sexuality discovery works, but I don't think he'll start liking every gay guy he crosses 🤣😅 anyways, it's really great there's someone he can trust to talk and Who does understand and Will make him feel less alone. On the other side, I don't think jealous would be the first emotions Nao would feel. I think that Souta's been puting si much effort in making It seems as if he's not affected, that Nao Will reasonably believe that Souta isn't serious about his feelings towards him, and that maybe Souta was just confused. Because of all that shit about wanting to kiss Inoue which he didn't correct, and then seeing Inoue with his coat, and then embracing a stranger in the street. I don't think he needs jealous, I think they just need to be clear (which won't happen 🤣) in the sense that Souta is convinced that Nao is straight and Nao probably thinks that Souta isn't serious.

how are people shipping them? i want to understand it😭 i see Jun as a good support for Souta, not as someone to ship him with. It’s exactly what Souta needs right now, he needs someone who really understands what he’s going through because they are living the same truth as him. Sure he has his other friends who knows about the whole Nao situation and they can give him advice and try to make him feel better, but they will never truly understand it. This is so good for him. Literally nothing will make you feel better than talking to someone who has either been through what you’ve been through or is living the same truth as you because they will understand all the emotions you’re feeling waaay better than anyone else would. All that being said, i absolutely would LOVE to see Nao being jealous about this dynamic. Jealousy is not always toxic, half the time it opens your eyes to what you’re missing out on. And Nao needs his eyes to be wide open right now.

Okay so like I see so many people referring to him as Jun but he’s Sato. He isn’t Jun, unless his first name is Jun I don’t think he is Jun. I believe that this chapter is going to explain how Sato is bi and had a crush or has a crush on his straight friend named Jun. This is crucial and really important for Souta to know because now he gets to see that although it appears to him that his feelings weren’t returned, he will see that his feelings are still valid. I feel this will be a very significant and vital chapter to Souta’s character. Hopefully this will save him from the point of no return because we’ve all been where he is now. Not caring anymore, feeling numb because not only were we hurt but we just broke. This I feel, will also decide how he feels after the rejection. Will he cut himself off from everyone and stop caring, or will Sato save what’s left of his heart and put some glue to piece even a slither of it back together? I can’t wait to see how this unfolds. I do love how the cafe is called Sunrise cafe too because of its symbolism. Sunrise referring to a new dawn. “It’s a new dawn, a new day and a new beginning”. This is where it all starts coming together for Souta I hope❤️

So stereotypical romances usually have this kind of interaction to spur on the ML to discover their feelings or at least figure out they don't want to lose the MC. Which would have some kind of dramatic intervention by the ML during this conversation followed by the MC and ML having forward movement in a separate conversation. However, Aina loves making it feel like real life. And realistically I think if Nao even followed them or watched them from afar, he would not interject. He would be respectful, and aware of how Souta might actually be feeling despite their previous conversation. And thus, if Nao is in this chapter at all (which he might not be, he's not the focus right now) we the audience might only see his facial expressions and then be frustrated that he might leave without saying anything or trying to talk to Souta. Because he knows he has to sort himself out.

i’m rereading this episode and i can’t get over the fact that despite how similar sato’s pose at the end is to keisuke’s when souta confessed his crush in the cafe, their facial expressions are sooo different and convey such different emotions. It’s completely amazing how you draw them Aina, how you can SEE on Sato’s face the “i get it”. There is so much understanding in that face you don’t even need the words around to comprehend how sincere he was.
