Uhhh 😬 Nao is still friends with Arashi even though he is now picking up that this is a date. He can’t just leave his friend and go running to ma boi Souta who he decided to give space to. I think Nao needs to be given a little more grace since he’s lost a lot and change is difficult for him. He never intentionally hurt Souta because he didn’t exactly know what was going on with him until recently because Souta wasn’t being honest. Souta dug that hole himself and Nao was a little bit clueless to it but I don’t think he is to blame for that. Dude just started opening up to people.

Oh god, I’ve read this so many times trying to figure out what is happening. Nao thank you for asking all these questions but honey, you need to look AT YOUR GODDAMN PHONE😭. Nao asking Arashi again about how Souta gave her the tickets means that he suspects or knows that there is something up with the way Souta gave her the tickets. I think he wants her to tell him something like how Souta didn’t seem happy giving them to her but he isn’t getting that. Alsoooo Arashi saying that Souta wanted to help “us”… I think he’s starting to realize one of two things. One that Souta thinks that Nao likes Arashi so he gave her the tickets, which makes him uncomfortable. Or two, that he is starting to see that Arashi likes him or is alluding to liking him which makes him uncomfortable. Both could be true but it’s hard to decipher. I just hope Souta is okay!! Also, as much as I want Nao is run after Souta… I’ve done some thinking. Technically Nao did run after Souta first at Takeo’s karaoke party only to find him in the arms of another man. So, it’s only right that Souta runs after Nao now for this reconciliation. I just hope Nao looks at his phone because if he sees all those missed calls, that’s all the proof he needs to get up on out of there and find him. He’s for sure know that Souta not only needs him but he was right about him not wanting to give the tickets to Arashi. Once again great episode Aina and I’m super excited for next week❤️

I feel like the story wouldn’t look nearly this bad from Nao’s perspective. Yeah he avoided Souta for a while but Souta avoided him too. And when he tried to talk to Souta and communicated just barely, Souta pretended to be fine, and then when Nao tried to have a real conversation Souta was with someone else, and the next time after that Souta avoided him on purpose, and then he accepted an outing with a friend, and pretended he was doing okay because he doesn’t want to ruin her christmas. Like 90 percent of the hate for him hanging out with Arashi is because she’s a girl with a crush on him, even though he has no idea. Like if this was some guy who’s just sort of his equivalent to Keisuke, he’d react the same way but people would not care nearly as much that he’s doing this.

This must actually be so frustrating for Nao. Nearly every single friend he’s managed to make ends up developing feelings for him. Inoue, Souta and now Arashi. It’s like he can’t have one friend. No wonder he’s not sure how to navigate it all. That’s why I don’t necessarily think he’s leading Arashi on. I think he genuinely doesn’t know how to turn her down without losing her as a friend. Look at the Souta situation (even tho that’s a bit different because he does reciprocate those feelings). He turned Souta down and then boom, Souta starts avoiding him the next day.
