Nao was a lot quicker with shutting down Souta. I get it's awkward, but at this point he's being insensitive to Arashi's very obvious feelings. Unless he's as dense as a brick (which I refuse to believe he is), then he needs to set some clear and honest boundaries. They're all cute kids, but Nao (in particular) needs to take some serious ownership for his inactions and stop being a bystander to his own life. TBH, I'd prefer Souta and Nao stay friends. They both deserve a loving friendship; and Souta can find his gay romance with someone else who deserves it more.

This whole chapter makes me think about Nao’s first kiss—how he just “went along with it” and ended up kind of dating the girl who liked him. The fact that the same thing is happening now means we’re going to get to see how Nao has grown/developed throughout the story.

okay... arashi is as dense as a brick when it comes to analysing faces/situations or she really is playing dumb at this point. it's pretty clear that nao doesn't mean "we need to talk" in a "let's date" kind of way and i actually think that, as cute as the mistletoe moment looks (superficially), it wasn't a good move on arashi's part, mostly because she never got a clear message from nao that he is interested (even when there are previous scenes in which he might have been giving some mixed signals without meaning it) so it's not really a consensual thing and it kinda feels like she's forcing her feelings on him (even when i know she thinks he's on the same page). i don't like what it entails since nao has always been pretty inactive when it comes to people expressing interest in him. i just hope he can stand his ground as he looked like he wanted to do before she did that and that something clicks for him 🙏🏻 also, i hope souta didn't see the kiss cause i don't want him to be hurt anymore than he already is but i feel like he's definitely seeing it. let me hug the boys, i need it and they need it too 😭😭

Gosh, this must be so confusing for Nao! On a surface level, Arashi seems like the perfect girl for him- outgoing, similar interests, alt girl aesthetic. He at least seems to enjoy her as a friend, which is where a lot of romantic relationships (*cough cough* SOUTA) grow from. It speaks to how strong his feelings for Souta are for Nao to still be yearning while on a date with the prototype of “but if Nao were to date a girl”. I hope Arashi is able to find someone who is equally excited to date her as she is them (which is unfortunately, not going to be our boy Nao :/ )

I didn't have much faith in Arashi's ability to read the room after she got dumped at the ferris wheel, so this is just pure comedy for me now. These two live in parallel worlds. Thumbs up for Nao for at least trying to do something this time. And Nao is not into her. Let's remember all the things he did: invite Souta to spend time with them, was looking for Souta in the amusement park, suggested he could help Souta get with Arashi, agreed to go to the concert due to the reasons he explained to Souta (i still think Nao is stupid for not getting Arashi is into him at this point), doubted whether he should go with Arashi to the concert, went only after Keisuke told him he better go, and gave Souta time cuz Keisuke told him to do so as well. All of this is just an unfortunate turn of events :/ But if Souta really saw Arashi's kissing Nao and Nao runs after him, I don't even have hope Arashi gets the clue Nao isn't interested in her. It has to be spelled out for her and hopefully this is the time.

When Arashi says “that’s what you get for spacing out,” I feel like that applies to the whole past month or two. He’s been totally spacing out ever since Souta’s confession — probably because he’s overthinking and getting lost in his own head — and now he’s totally losing control of what’s going on.
