I mean, she has no idea what he's been going through and she clearly wants to be a comforting person to him in this moment after he was injured... maybe in her head confessing would be something more than just telling him she likes him, but also "I'm here for you, you are not alone, you're important and someone cares for you". Sorry, Inoue, but he already has that person romantically, even if he doesn't realize it. I wish you can be that person to him as a friend.

For everyone saying Inoue’s confession is terrible timing just remember that she has no idea what’s going on right now! From her perspective Nao is probably the same reserved/quiet person he’s always been and she was probably at a point where she couldn’t hold it in anymore. Unfortunately for her I think she’ll either get completely ignored and he’ll just keep walking, or he’s going to go off in some way since they really don’t know each other that well and he’s probably tired of girls hitting on him/liking him for no reason other than looks (I know Inoue must have a deeper reason but from his perspective that’s not the case I’m sure) I do think she’ll eventually get an apology from him in the future though, but not anytime soon

I get why she confessed then though. Like we as readers know it's not a good time, but in her eyes, her crush thinks she came to gawk at him crying. I think she just panicked in trying to convince him that she cares. I'm not saying it's good thing to do, I'm just saying I understand it from her perspective.
