Chelsea and I watched one of THREE (!!!) Popeye horror movies made this year since the ole sailor fell into the public domain. It's pretty bad, mostly in a boring way - it's not a Mickey's Fun House level atrocity but it doesn't have too much to offer. Except this commentary track, where we have a real fun time. Thanks for another great year, patrons!

Not saying this because I was angry or anything I get that you guys have a lot of work to do, but my favourite part of the channel has become both the podcast and commentary tracks because they are longer and I like the banter especially when Graessle is involved. I hope next year that there's able to be more but again I get it.

This commentary made the movie infinitely more enjoyable. We also had a school playground version of the Popeye theme. "I'm Popeye the sailor man. I live in a caravan. There's a hole in the middle where I do a piddle. I'm Popeye the sailor man."

FUN FACT: This movie is free to watch on Tubi. You can even screenshare it on Discord if you want to do a watch party, Tubi doesn't give a shit if you do. They won't block it from being viewed since literally anyone could watch it at the same time for free. Commercials are annoying though, but in this case, just pause the commentary during commercials.

Also, the other 2 Popeye movies are also on Tubi in case anyone wants to watch them for free. This movie seems super easy to Kill Count, they tell you how many people died at the end. 9 + Lex Alistair at the end means that the people who died were: Miguel(1) & Vincent(2) [the 2 drug dealers], Angus(3) [the security guard], Margot Harrigan(4) who dropped her file folder, Joey's 2 friends Jesse(5) & Terry(6), Lisa(7) & Seth (8) [the main character's 2 friends who were dating and died to rebar], & Joey(9) who should get the Golden Chainsaw for getting beaten with his own arms. This means that Popeye actually spared Sarah Nicklin's character (Adrienne) & she just got to leave the cannery alive. Damn, she was a strong contender for Dull Machete if she died offscreen.
