The Fedration is in the Alpha Quadrant.

Trying to avoid any spoilers about blank and blank and of course blank…..we can live with whatever comes

Henchman Twenty1

Odo quickly became my favorite character... after O'Brien. How can you not love the Chief?

“GET THIS MAN A BURGER!” 🤣

The Galaxy is basically divided into four quadrants, the Alpha Quadrant where the majority of the Federation, the Klingons, the Romulans etc are (although some of them extend a bit into the Beta Quadrant as explored space is near that border). The Gamma Quadrant connects through the Bajoran Wormhole and is otherwise about 70 years away at high warp. Just as distant is the Delta Quadrant which you only saw in the TNG episode The Price where Riker, two Ferengi and others bid for control of the Barzan Wormhole.

If you are unaware, the character of Morn was inspired by Norm from the show Cheers. 😎

They needed to edit out some of his dialogue tho. Takes up too much time in the episodes.

It's never been entirely canonically established just how much of the Klingon and Romulan empires are in the Beta quadrant, but most maps of the Trek galaxy have them primarily there. Even though when they say "the Alpha quadrant" on DS9, they are normally including them.

Cheers was a really good TV show with a hell of a lot of talent working on screen and off. It might have gotten a little tired during the last few seasons, but there’s little doubt as to why it lasted 11 years.

That's true. It IS somewhat demonstrated in ST:VI when the Excelsior is in Beta Quadrant and is close enough to Praxis (which they explain orbits the Klingon homeworld) to be affected by the explosion. I've tended to think referring to everything as "the Alpha Quadrant" is colloquial. Interestingly most of the maps I've seen show the Terran system right on the dividing line of Alpha and Beta Quadrants, suggesting that the Federation instituted this particular cartographic standard.

I like the french horns too. I would also like to be involved in first contact stuff. I generally like Lwaxana episodes. Her character adds variety. I know she may not be a fan favorite with many but I welcome her as part of the cast.
