I have absolutely no memory of this episode...! Interested to check it out!

Great reaction for a pretty mediocre episode (IMHO), but you realize that the entire romance and night they had together was all part of Troi's hallucination when she was standing in front of the plasma thing, right? Nothing's changed in their relationship from where they were at the start of the episode. If you got that and were just happy about seeing their fantasy romance, I completely, 100%, apologize for the mansplaining. 😉

NO SOILERS. Just in the context of this episode. I have never understood why people get upset about the Troi & Worf relationship where in the context of this episode, it never actually happened. Also in the previous episode Parallells the relationship takes place in an alternate reality. Marina Sirtis stated at a convention once IN TH CONTEXT OF THIS EPISODE, I am not going to directly quote her, but she basically said that she felt Worf was less "of a Man" in the context of this episode, which makes no sense because this was a delusion and it really wasn't Worf. I think over the years, Marina may have forgotten the context of this episode. I sure did, I have always hated this episode and have normally skipped it when I rewatch the series. I forgot everything that happened in this episode until halfway through it all came back and I remembered why I always skipped it. Mainly because it starts on a serious subject of suicide, but then cheats on two fronts, because it never deals with that subject and explains it away with a Scifi explanation, then it has major romantic relationship begin between two main characters then we find out it was all a psychic projection AKA a dream. Everything that happens after the moment Troi and Worf enter the nacelle room, and Worf opens the nacelle hatch, and then Worf stops her from jumping is a "dream" Also all of the great character moments like the scene between Riker & Worf is a dream as well. Which makes no sense because that scene is not from Troi's perspective and she is the one having this vision. Like I mentioned in one of my earlier comments, even though a lot of the episodes in this season are my least favorite, there are a good number of them this season that are my favorite in the series. Some of my favorites are still to come 😁👍🖖ALSO PLEASE BE CARFUL RESPONDING TO THIS COMMENT TO AVOID SPOILING FUTURE EPISODES. Great reaction as always Jen, it got me through this one...lol

As odd as the episode can be, it is nice to see more weird parts of the ship! There is also a great "InTake" on youtube where an outtake of Worf running into the turbolift doors is edited seamlessly into the episode. Called "Worf is Denied". Poor fellow!

Geoff S.

Yes, hate to say the romance never really happened. Everything after that shield door opened until Worf pulled her back, was part of her "dream". I actually love this episode for the fact they show the inside of the nacelle. There would probably be a turbolift up the pylon as the main way of accessing the nacelle and the Jeffries tube would be the backup way of getting up there. If digital efx were more advanced they could have shown a lot more of the ship like the main shuttle bay which I don't think is ever shown. It takes up a lot of deck 3 and all of 4 and s massive. Here's a good rendition to show where this took place. http://fsd.trekships.org/operations/images/nacelle2.jpg

worf again following the bro code by checking with riker before making a move

One of your fellow reactors beginning TNG now has a specific pre episode message reminding everyone not to mention characters, events, plotlines or such for future episodes and not even to mention if they are good or bad before she watches them. Rules we need to remember, so I will simply say its nice to watch with you Jen. Torf (Troi-Worf) may not be popular but the chain of events does almost work from season 5 on

Sykonee

Opening scene always reminds me of *that* scene from the movie Event Horizon. Can 'Space Suicide From Seeing Horrifying Things' be considered a trope? Like most have said, cool we get to see the inside of a nacelle, but on the list of Braga-Penned Altered Reality Episodes, this one kinda' ranks on the lower rung, again suffering from that unfortunate S7 sluggish pace.

I was just grateful that they FINALLY did something on an interpersonal level between someone on the show even if Troi and Worf wouldn't have been my first instinct.

Fun Fact for those who don't know, Utopia Planitia, where they mentioned the Enterprise was built, is the name of a large plain in Utopia, the largest recognized impact basin on Mars.

Curran Dobbs

I think she was only that jealous because of the psychic influence pushing her to relive the original events.

scott osborne

this episode troy x worf it never really happened it was all in her head but to say it wont happen or will tng end with no troy x worf who can say

I love this one it is just my type of episode. I loved it the first time i saw it, and my love for it grows each time i watch it again.

Remember Michael Dorn is Marina' s best mate she loves to take the piss out of him, she has my English sense of humour. So any excuse she' ll grab it lol

Walter Crockett

True, they are all really close 😀 Apparently they all have a group text chat that’s been active for years…lol

TigerMyth

After the alternate universes episode, I had no problem with Worf & Trois. The problem is they waited too long. A bit silly to couple them up with the series almost over.

Julian Meeks-Wagner

If I am not mistaken, the Utopia Planitia shipyards are in orbit of Mars.
