I don’t think I’ve seen this episode in a while, and I haven’t started the reaction yet. But my recollection is that this episode is definitely an episode of TNG, one of the episodes of all time. We’ll see if it has a similar impact this time.

as i said last week, i like this one, but i don't think a lot of people do. especially the holodeck train stuff and working out what the characters represent. kind of like data's nightmares a bit back.

So the Enterprise birthed its own offspring. I guess in a season that's already featured space pollution, multi-verses, sex ghosts, transformative technology, wacky devolution, and more surprise family reveals than you can shake a stick at, it's not *the* most ludicrous concept?

2 more to go then the movies! Are you going to do the movies in airdate/release date order along with DS9? Cause some of the movies will spoil DS9 actually with certain plots and elements. Next week’s TNG is really good episode!

I don't think she's said for sure, but the airdate order thing she has also has the movies in the correct position, so I suspect she will.

Yeah. To avoid spoilers, she'd have to wait to watch Star Trek First Contact until she's seen S04E01 of DS9. Ideally though, it works best to watch during season 5 of DS9 and season 3 of Voyager...

She created a YouTube Poll about a week ago asking which Star Trek shows fans preferred. DS9 and Voyager together is claiming the majority of votes. She indicated in her description of the poll that she would be watching the TNG movies in air date order with DS9.

There a very few episodes that I think could be erased from canon and the show would be better off, and I think this is one of them. Other than the cold open, there is nothing gained from this episode. It’s just a generic story that could have been done on any Star Trek series that doesn’t add anything to any character. Excited for the next couple though!
