This movie really feels like the finale to the TNG show. I love the other movies too.

Darryl Low

Loved watching this TNG movie with you Jen. Excited to check out your YT edit. I know it's going to be incredible 🖖😊

Hey Jen!👋👦You looked so happy seeing Captain Kirk and crew in the beginning, like a kid in a candy jar! As a huge "Star Trek" fan, I think, for all its flaws, the film feels like a great, feature-length TNG episode, which is exactly what some of us wanted after the series ended. I've always appreciated how the movie handled Kirk's death with a certain quiet dignity, rather than a huge, spectacular battle. It felt more real and focused on duty. 💕 🌌💫

Who am I to argue with the Captain of the Enterprise?

Generations gets a hard knock but I enjoy it. As an 80s kid who grew up on TNG, I cried like an absolute baby in the cinema when I saw it. I'd seen some TOS and of course, mostly TNG (missing a few here and there that I couldn't find the VHS for) and this was like losing friends.

Great reaction Jen! Couple of things... - Star Trek rarely kills off main characters without somehow resurrecting them. And it's still kind of crazy that Capt. Kirk was the first to die once and for all. This is the last time William Shatner appears in anything Star Trek. We also forget that at the time, it was well known that Shatner had issues with being solely known as Capt. Kirk. He was a little embarrassed by it. In 2011 he then directed a documentary "The Captains" where he interviewed all the actors who were Captains in Star Trek. And this great moment happened between he and Patrick Stewart https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6uMiPJ3Xcw - They decided to destroy the Enterprise-D partially because they didn't feel like it would hold up well on a movie screen for future movies. The sets and the costumes were made for watching on TVs, which were fairly small at the time. Although I agree it's sad. That original design is special. - In terms of lighting, I believe this is the best looking of all the Star Trek movies. Look at how beautiful the Bridge looks and Picard's Ready Room. Cinematographer John A. Alonzo also shot Chinatown and Scarface. - The writers had interesting comments. They spent a year writing this script, but they took 2 weeks to write the series finale which they and many fans consider to be the superior story. Also, they said that they wished Yesterday's Enterprise was the movie. The old Star Trek crew suddenly arriving in the 24th Century. - Frig the chronological order! Watch First Contact now!

Enterprise 1701D wrecked! ..I feel sorry for poor prof Moriarty and his lady friend. Picard let him down.

Matt O'Keefe

Killing Robert and Renee like that felt cruel.

Sean Stangland

What an absolute delight that you didn’t know the OGs were in this :)

Ahh Malcolm McDowell. Dr Bashir's uncle!

Julian San

I just LOVE the cinematography of this movie. It looks so filmic. Granted, maybe it’s because of 7 years we had been used to tv quality but idk, movies today don’t even look this good.

Your giggles at Data's "Tiny Little Life Forms" song. They bring me so much joy inside my soul. Keep enjoying the movies! Can't wait to see you react to the rest of them!

Robert Cooper

I will never forgive them for having Picard throw that ceramic from The Chase like it was trash.

Call ‘Em Greg

I want to like Generations, but I will never be ok with how Kirk dies here. He should have died on the Enterprise, not some random planet in a rock pile. Even the writers know they screwed up there.

Clay F

I like how Kirk went out.

"I've always known, I'll die alone." Kirk to Spock and McCoy in Star Trek V

John Sullivan

You got to see Kirk and be surprised by it Nobody else got that experience

Shatner's delivery of "Oh my..." never fails in cutting something deep inside me.

WallyWeasel

Wait a minute...that Enterprise B bridge officer who has trouble locking on...he couldn't be... Oh my sweet lord, he IS! He's one of the guys who tried to steal the Enterprise D in Starship Mine! Kirk! Get him! I fear he's just going to keep trying to steal starships at this rate!
