Awesome 🔥 title sounds like a parody of when the earth stood still 🙂 always look forward to these Futurama reactions they really are some of your very best Jen 🔥💙

Dylan

Watching Futurama with you has been awesome Jen. I never want these reactions to end! 🔥

Ian

Literally just turned pc off minutes ago a Jen alert comes in pc is booted back up , it's always ' good news!! ' when a Futurama edit pops up 🔥 let's go !!

Matt

Bad luck, but unfortunately you talked through one of my favorite lines in the whole series. In the episode "The Day the Earth Stood Stupid", 5:12: "People said I was dumb, but I proved them!"

LookingForOwls

So that's the second reference to Fry being a "child of destiny" as they say in this episode. The first was in the What If anthology where we learned that the universe just implodes if Fry didn't go to the future.

LookingForOwls

Fry has so many good ones along that same line throughout the series.

TheADHDOverlord

One of the reasons I love this series so much is how Rewatchable it is. The sheer amount of things we miss or simply do not "get" is HIGH with this series (just like the early seasons of The Simpsons, Seasons 3-8 are SUCH Different Animals in your 30s vs your 10s lol)

Geoff S.

I think Jen got Hypno Toaded on that first episode!

Vina

Harold Zoid is a reference to silent comedy film pioneer Harold Lloyd (like Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton)

Stephen Dias

According to the producers, the Hypnotoad sound effect is named "Angry Machine."

Gary Cameron

The first episode with HYPNOTOAD! Yay!! "The Day the Earth Stood Stupid" also references a couple of Star Trek TOS episodes, which I don't think you've seen, from Season 1 & 2, but I will say no more. Just be aware. Also, there was an "in universe" commercial that they cut from the episode, "Soylent Chow: Because it's a dog-eat-dog world".

WallyWeasel

A near perfect episode for Jen. Zoidberg spotlight, Calculon adjacent. and a brief split second cameo from Zapp (at the 39:54 part). Hey, I said it was near perfect.

Stephen Dias

Yeah, broadcast order vs production order can be confusing sometimes. As I was watching that episode, I was confusing it with "The Why of Fry," which makes reference to something that happens in "Roswell That Ends Well," as to why Fry's brain waves are different. If you know what I mean 😉

Gary Cameron

I do know what you mean - SAY NOTHING! THE HYPNOTOAD HAS ORDERED IT!!!
