2026-10-07 05:00 In Ultron’s defence, I’m pretty sure anyone that starts life by browsing the internet for twelve seconds would also believe global extinction to be the best option…

Arthur 'Two Sheds' Jackson

I love Ultron but I'm not big fan of this specific rendition, still love the movie though!! I keep thinking about how Ultron (James Spader) didn't want George Costanza to stretch out the neck hole of his cashmere sweater lmao 🤣🤣

Adam Doyle

Cant wait to get to Phase 3! loving these reactions.

Curran Dobbs

They named named it Avengers: Age of Ultron because it sounded cooler than Avengers: Long Weekend of Ultron.

Ian Forbes

Jen, it is two different actors for Quicksilver between the different studios. At the time of the X-Men films, the rights for both Pietro and Wanda were in a weird cinematic co-ownership between Fox and Disney due to the characters being involved in both comic book franchises (X-Men and Avengers).

Tom W.

Excellent! Thanks, Jen! ❤️

Dylan

Cap: moves Mjolnir a bit Thor: stress level: 99%

Curran Dobbs

Watching now. Familiar dude is Andy Serkis, who played Gollum in Lord of the Rings.

Matt O'Keefe

Quicksilver is the same character/guy in this and X-Men. Just different actors..

Curran Dobbs

The bit where Ultron nabs Black Widow is quick and easy to miss.

Harvey Lee

That part always confused me , but wasn't it a copyright dispute of some form ? which is why there are two different versions of Quicksilver and Two Wanda Witches !!

Harvey Lee

The chess pieces are all falling in place for this Epic Jen Looking forward to this for my evening !!

Matt O'Keefe

Yes, Thor's hammer did budget ever so slightly.

Kane Is Able

There's no proof of that. That's an opinion.

Curran Dobbs

The fight scenes where they do combo movies against Ultron reminds me of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2.

Mr. Writhms

Jen commenting on the scene where Natasha was riding on the Hulk's back… “She’s RIDING him! Uh… not like that.” 🤣

Ian

Looking forward to watching this one when time permits and seeing Jen's reaction to some new characters 🔥 even though this is probably the weakest of the avengers movies it's still a good one it's just the others are just fantastic. Let the marvel journey continue 🔥✨

Ian

When's Age Of Jen coming out ? Would go watch 😀

Justin Falcon

This movie gets more hate than it deserves honestly. From what I remember, when Age of Ultron was released a lot of people hated on it because the story was completely different in the comics. In fact, the only real similarity the movie has to the comics is a robot named Ultron lol. While I do believe the comic book version of the story is far superior, the movie is still very fun and I enjoy it. I do think they would have been better off not using the same title as the comics.

Chad K

You probably didn't notice but take another look at Clint/Hawkeye's baby on the video call at the end of the movie. His clothes show his middle name as 'Pietro' which is Quicksilver's first name.

Rob Nichols

Never apologize for "talking too much" in a reaction, that's kinda the point.

Mastervodo

I don't know why people rag on this one. This is a solid movie all around. Sets up so much. Comic book action scenes all over the place. Great movie. Great reaction!

Opti_Frog

I don't think people generally hate on Age of Ultron. To me it's a solid three star movie, and i enjoy it. But i think it's fair to say that this is the one MCU movie where they dropped the ball on the world-building and set-ups. It feels clunky, tacked on and obvious. Also, Ultron is a half-successful bad guy. Cool voice, cool lines and bent on world destruction. But to me he seems to lack a clear motive. He waffles on about evolution and how humanity will get its chance to better itself, but in the end it's: "When the dust settles, the only thing living in this world will be metal." Why does he want this? It's never clear. It's the small moments that really saves this movie. Everything about Mjölnir, The Vision rescuing Wanda, report on Hulk, Cuttlefish, etc.

Opti_Frog

It had to do with Fox owning the rights to the term "Mutant" in Marvel content. Having Pietro Maximoff become enhanced via the mind stone was a legal loophole for Disney to gain access to the character.

Opti_Frog

MCU Ultron never really felt menacing. Not like the first trailer promised, at least. He's mostly a whiney fucker. 😋

Dean

It’s wild that two notable actors from Andor are in this (no spoiler!)

Michael B.

Jen is the best. But at least in the reaction she missed Tony's 'hide the pickle' quip. Maybe she picks it up in edit.

Damon Corrigan

This one is odd. I actually really like it. I think they could have polished it a bit more, but there are SO many good moments - pay offs for past things, and set ups for future things. It is kind of the climax for Phase II, and it serves as a launch pad for what is coming. That alone is worth all of the rough spots in this as far as I am concerned.

Harvey Lee

Was it very good at saving money for him ? Budget .... Budged ever so slightly i am just joking with you of course mate 😄🤘

Bammer

James Spader voices Ultron. You might remember him as Doctor Daniel Jackson from the movie Stargate. If you enjoy crime themes, James Spader stars in the T.V. show "The Blacklist".

Stephen Dias

In the comics, Dr. Hank Pym created Ultron. Jen will meet him soon. Yes, Fox's spin on the character Quicksilver appeared in the X-Men movies. There was also a weird, not-quite-multiversal version of the character in "WandaVision."

SirJohnCard

Age of Ultron had an incredibly high bar to try and compete with the first Avengers movie. Not bad, just very high expectations. As time has passed, it has become better received for the meaningful impact it had. And with 4 Avengers movies, one of them has to be 4th, and Age of Ultron is most often considered 4th best.

fromage

This was better than I remember, haven't seen it since its release 11 years ago -- but I feel like it's still the weakest Avengers film. Not the weakest MCU film, but it really shows its age more than even Avengers 2012, somehow. Anyway, from this point onward to the next Avengers film, you have a string of truly good MCU films. I would say there's not a single mediocre one in the bunch in this phase.

Brent Justice

His name isn't Jarvis, He's Vision. He is neither Jarvis, nor Ultron. He's a new lifeform, and unique.

Brent Justice

I believe it is necessary if she is going to watch Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness movie.

Thomas Malley

So fun seeing you get excited about Marvel. So much good stuff to look forward to on your list.

I don't entirely see it I mean, different things for different people of course, but even conceptually, it was every bit as good as the first one. Execution was just really great as well, the script and pacing was really tight, even if you're on the (as I remember it at release) side of people griping with the very light romance subplots... And man, Whedon, for all that he might be, really nailed the ensemble coordination a second time. Never mind that he basically has to beat his own record with the first Avengers movie, which was about as flawless as any of its kind might ever be - I am always impressed by how memorable and well-done AoU was. I mean, it's a really good movie on its own merits, if you caught the bug and were sold on the franchise, that was still a top-tier experience. Not sure about the age, that I certainly don't see. Production is pretty nuts in this. Plus (and I won't mention any details here of course), if you think about how many moving pieces in the overarching plot are falling into place with AoU, that's downright magic territory. Folks were definitely still comparing it to the previous Avengers movie, so yeah. Half of the upcoming bangers courtesy of Age of Ultron being a success

W T

well, to be fair, the point of reactions is to talk at opportune times I want my homies to enjoy the movie we're watching, but if they keep watching through Magnolia dialog nonstop I am going to boot them to the curb in a heartbeat lol Which is why I am watching Jen in the first place: I appreciate the general timing for the most part. Most reactors have their "missed important details because of yappage"-moment, not so much here I feel like.

Carlos Stevens

Ok Jen, you asked a wonder question... so wonderful, I had to pause the movie... "Who's smarter, Tony Stark or Bruce Banner." Alas, You miss the entire point. I would say that they are equally smart, but they have a different kind of "smart." Bruce is a scientist. His skill is based in discovering thing that no one has ever thought of before. Tony is an engineer. His skill is building things that no one has ever thought of before. It is a wonderful juxtaposition between the abstract and the practical. Who's smarter; they are equally as smart, but in their particular domains.

Carlos Stevens

Alas... there was only one mutant that was more powerful than Wanda (in terms of magic, and no... it wasn't Dr. Strange.) I dare anyone to name that mutant.

Jason Scade

Exciting reaction. "You creepy bastard." 🤣 Very much looking forward to your Ant-Man, I was surprised by how much I loved it.

Chris Biebel

The helicarrier arrival would have been explained if you were watching the TV show Agents of Shield concurrently with the movies.

Over50Gamer

Jen will be tested soon, for sure!

Over50Gamer

Jen is the best for those occasional and unexpected tongue-in-cheeky quips!

Bobby Coolbreeze

Veronica is the Hulk Buster Armor from the Comics books. Tony Developed that Armor for one purpose to take on and defeat the Hulk in case he went on an uncontrollable rampage like here in the movie!

Bobby Coolbreeze

You missed the Tech guy on the Helicarrier Bridge. He was the guy in Captain America Winter Soldier who was threatened at gunpoint to launch the attack by Rumlow.

Bobby Coolbreeze

James Spader as the voice of Ultron made this movie for me. Not the strongest Avengers movie but a pretty solid entry in the MCU.

Carlos Stevens

So, you asked the question... "Who's Smarter, Bruce Banner or Tony Stark." They are equally as smart; however, Bruce is a Scientist...where Tony is an Engineer. The difference between Research Science and Applied Science. The difference between the two is quite... Stark...pun fully intended.

Carlos Stevens

For the record, Quicksilver did not die. Also... by the old school Marvel cannon both Scarlett Witch and Quicksilver where the children of Magneto.
