The end of "Walking Distance" always almost brings me to tears. Did you notice when he first leaves the gas station walking to town, that we only see him in the mirror on the cigarette machine? And in the second episode, did you notice that the main character is played by David Wayne, who was one of the scientists in "The Andromeda Strain"? The 60 minute episodes never seemed quite as good. They were mostly a network response to the competing "The Outer Limits," which was an hour, but it seemed just long enough for its stories. I think the concepts of the Twilight Zone stories were always more abbreviated, and seemed padded in the longer format.
