First person who hit her in the face was the cult guy when she was kidnapped at the very beggining :D edit : its not new info but it was very subtle.. same time when the guy hit her in her face is where they had the conversation about Claire being possessed and they wonder who helped her well we know who :D

The only people that know Cid's identity in SG are the upper echelon.. So 7 shades and their immediate names members (Nu, Lambda, etc) And then some of the oldest members that work directly with the upper echelon (people that were there in gamma's store when Cid walked in. Majority of SG have no idea about his identity.

I don't think the heart was an artefact, I believe they just made it look like one for censorship purposes. if I remember right its just ment to be a dried up black heart, was how it was described in the light novel.

No episode explains it but its presence tells more about how the long the cult has been around and what activities they've been involved. I haven't read the novels myself but my guess is they were the ones that told humans about vampire weaknesses and led the insurgency.

Hey Neila, fun little fact and something you should check on your next episode. in the opening, when Cid is free falling, he doesn't look at anything except for one thing that passes him when he falls... what is the one thing?

Yeah no, way more than that know, there's tons of background numbers when he's meeting with most of the Shades. I doubt they just give a primer on "Here's our boss, and here's his secret identity" it's probably only those who've shown true proper loyalty

The best part of this episode is Shadow repeating the lines back to Mary lol. The one who told him them. Also, I think "anime only" Claire (when she was captured) kinda is told that Cid cured her possession in ep 2 but she immediately denounced it.

Besides the seven shades he also knows the top numbers like Lambda, Nu, Iota and etc. The only people that know Cid's true identity are these people, the members assigned in the store and a spoiler character.
