Perv Asshat had ring in box, and box in pocket. Due to sizes, he couldn't expect someone to take only ring out (which Cid did). In normal situation, you would have to take out box from pocket, take the ring and put box back on, without anyone noticing. I feel that he's got too much proud to think that someone actually stole from him

Proselytising means trying to convert someone to your religion/beliefs. The religion of the Oriana kingdom is famously pushy. Also the overuse of perverting is probably related to it being due to Perve Asshat. Oh dear not plan B 🤣 Also there is a metric. tonne of jiggle physics this episode, animators must have sore wrists after all that. 😂
