i feel bad for the main character without his online friends but i m glad he gets another chance so i m excited to see how this anime works. it does remind me of sword art online a bit with the intro.

Dr Acula

This is the second anime I ever watched and it holds a special place for me 😂 I hope you enjoy it 😀

Rykuso

the time has come!

Blue Lightning

Fun little fact about the end credits. The art is made by the artist for the Light Novels. i really love the soft glow feel it has.

Lyn

Today is a great day, this anime is one of the bests 💀

apoc9

The other player's name "Herohero" is not "Hero" that would be pronounced differently in Japanese. Herohero is onomatopoeic (sound of an abstract thing) means exhausted, limp ... I think it points to his character design looking like melted lump of goo.

supersparta333

Was absolutely obsessed with Overlord years ago, but the novels have been stuck in limbo of when the next ones are coming. Anime (for the most part) is a very good adaptation.

Crawlingchaos03

Oh, the fun has begun I see. Eggclent hehe.

Guinaur

Lets Go!! Overlord!! Some of the best Openings and Outros in Anime for me.

Galvanax

GM actually means Game Master, he's trying to contact the people that would normally play the game as players but who have admin privileges and direct contact with the creators of the game for things like trouble shooting.

Abura-bo

Quick answer to your question during play. GM = Game Master. In video games they're the people that help with any discovered issues or bugs, player v player conduct issues, first line of TOS (terms of service) violation judgment, etc. If what they do doesn't solve anything then the issues get bumped up to the real techs. The idea that it meant "Guild Members" was a really good one and one I've heard many people say who are not into MMORPG gaming.

RathZa

"What does the "D" stand for?"... Neila, really? I mean, I'm mostly a goldfish brain, but go back in time like 5 seconds xD

Mathias Eklund

Overlord is a great show, happy you started watching it :)

Jesse

This is one of my favorite shows, lets go for this ride!

Dale

hype

Sean Pierson

Yep, there are different themes for RPG's. Basically any game where you 'play the role' of someone is an RPG. Usually fantasy is the most common but sci-fi stuff is pretty popular too.

The Force

Oh god, I'm gonna be such a nerd over this, one of the few anime I've actually been so into that I went and read the OG material.

Jere Kurvinen

Huge, this is my favourite anime of all time.

Hellfire69

i was hoping it was the dub version. in my opinion it was better dubbed

SleepyOldBear

15:50 … yeah Albedo might need a lot of editing out for YouTube 😂 21:02 Yup, definitely not goon, that’d be a very different show 😆 Hope you enjoy this series.

Christo Badenhorst

This anime is such a wild and fun ride, Judging from your taste, I think you will love it... it starts off Generic but very soon gathers its own identity, wont spoil anything about that but its what made it special for me.... this and Slime is my favorite Isikai's and were watching both. lets GOOOO

Neila Reacts~

i have said multiple times i dont do dub tho :/

Neila Reacts~

ah i m not into mmos so i dont have experience with those kinda games but thanks for the info!

Neila Reacts~

i already like the opening, just need to get used to it so i can hum along haha

Hellfire69

Oh I didn't know that. I probably forgot reading it in a post.

apoc9

Anime covers content 14 of 17 books including the holy kingdom arc movie.

Shangey

Oh look who it is! PEAK

Touch Me

11:15 Yeah.... imagine that being someone's name...

Ryu Jose

IIRC the anime never explains but, the green aura around Momonga only appears to keep his emotions in check.

The Force

I promise, my enjoyment with reactions comes from people learning things and how they engage with media I like, spoiling you ruins the fun xD most of what I'd nerd about is things left out from the LN (usually cause of time/graphic content)

GingerBread

there is a star wars MMO called star war the old republic which is obviously sci fi so there is MMO's beyond fantasy.

Ryno

The D stands for Dive, it’s like VR setup in that world called Dive Gear. Also, GM means Game Master or basically devs.

ActicLacid

opening band is also the same one that did the eminence in shadow openings, btw

SLMNDR

ok overlord lets re-watch it :)
