It's just my personal take, but I will warn you that the first half of the second season is an absolute snoozefest. I hope you can push through it

SleepyOldBear

4 episodes in one day! Top effort! Gonna enjoy these.

SleepyOldBear

Picks up a lot after ep5. I still enjoyed the first 5 though

Saikkuzyo

Yeah, as I said, the first half I find boring. After that it's peak again

Hey Neila, when you watch season 2, dont watch the ending song until episode 9 because it contains a major character spoiler. There are some after credit scenes throughout the season though so look out for those.

dylan pennington

The reason touch me has that type of name is because when he was playing the game. No and was able to hurt him because of his skill at playing Malay

dylan pennington

The reason shalltear said shorty (not a spoiler) The eyeball you saw behind shalltear was the cause of aura (elf sister) using a skill. The skills activated with Aura’s breath.

Ketanak

The moral is: P2W will get you victories.

Pharos Dusklight

The eye behind Shalltear in that last moment when she was mind control is not explained by the anime but in the light novel it was actually Aura (the elf siblings) assisting Ainz

Crawlingchaos03

Victory for bone Daddy!!! Tricking your enemies, lying to them, and acting... I gotta note that down hehe.

The Force

It's never brought up in the show but a note about Ainz/Momonga. He was one of the most prolific pvpers in the game, not because he was unbeatable, but because he would intentionally lose a couple times, holding back as much as possible, and change his build just slightly to absolutely *crush* people with the information he learned. He's memorized almost every spell and ability in the game, their effect, duration, range, dude was autistic about the game. So going in against Shalltear basically still running on NPC programming for combat... As he said to Albedo, the fight was already determined before it had begun.

Rykuso

But remember to also check out the post-credits scenes.

At the end, some interesting things are mentioned: those who tried to control Shalltear mention that they failed to gain total control, and they also mention that they lost the princess's crown, which is the one Clementine stole and used in Nfirea.

Every time I watch Overlord I realize I must be a magic caster because I always cast "Greater Hardening" on myself. 😧🤨😐 Side Note: Why is "Bone Daddy" The thing you're really good at pronouncing? It didn't even sound like it had an accent behind it... 🕵️‍♂️🕵️‍♂️🕵️‍♂️

karljuliuz

Wdym you haven't slept yet, you watching this 4, 5 in morning? 😂 Looking forward to S2 with you. I hope you watch all 4 seasons.

karljuliuz

I've noticed several words that she pronounces more with an American accent. I think that's just the learning curve. I'm Swedish and have completely discarded my Swedish accent and only talk with an American accent. Some people want to keep their original accent which is fine too, some accents sound better that way.

Kurato Wakiru

22:50 rip Gabiru, Ainz coming for you now. 😂

Sage Bastien

i don't know about the manga, but the light novel is really good. Way more depth into the guardian and the human

Lyn

I think it was said previously but the ending of second season is a must watch, it is epic and has a very interessing part which gives goosebumps 👑

Some guy

Glad you enjoyed the first season. Early Overlord is peak, but I do have one bit of advice: Don't be afraid to drop it later if you decide it isn't for you. After a while, Overlord gets... really dark, and not everyone enjoys that.

Kirby745i

Ainz hesitated to finish off Shaltear, which is when Aura distracted her with the eyeball skill long enough for him to focus and cast the super tier magic

Neila Reacts~

no worries, i dont mind dark themes in an anime tbh

Neila Reacts~

oh okie, do remind tho when i get to that point

Neila Reacts~

yeah i try to squeeze in time to record these since i m super busy

Neila Reacts~

yep this, i have been streaming for 5 years now so my accent is slipping away with certains words tho lol

Neila Reacts~

oof i hope i remember that when i m recording, so much to keep in mind with this anime

Tyler

Your English has definitely gotten really good, you know words most people learning English wouldn't.

Umbra_Nex

Yeah his name sounds pervy at first, but its actually because hes so incredibly skilled at pvp that he made his whole name a massive flex... basically he was telling everyone "come on and try to even touch me" xD

I know I'm late to the party. But this fight also shows exactly why Yggdrasil (the game Ainz played) was shut down. Not only did you have the insane convoluted buffing before every PvP (player vs player) match. The game was also heavily Pay-to-Win (buying in-game items for real money that gives you an advantage over others), and to top it off it was a Gacha game ("Gotcha" game, a very predatory game that heavily focusses on gambling, using your real life money for a chance on getting an artificially rare in-game item that has player power or progression attached to it). Also Ainz's guild had two requirements that you needed in order to join them, that he explains in the first episode. 1. You had to be a non-human monster player character. 2. You needed to have a job. Their 2nd rule reinforces the fact that, in order to be competitive in the game Yggdrasil. You HAD to spend a lot of your real money on the in-game cash shop, in order to have a shot at being the best. Now Ainz is a full on, what we call "Whale" (someone that spends an insane amount of money for in-game items), however he's also a good player that's really knowledgeable about the game. And Ainz's guild was filled with these Whales, as that's the requirement for joining the guild in the first place. So Ainz Ooal Gown (the guild) naturally became the number 1 guild in the game. So what often happens with games that become too Pay-to-Win, with veteran players that are already too far ahead for anyone to catch up in a PvP focused game like Yggdrasil. Players start leaving. And if an online game such as an MMO doesn't have enough people playing and paying. Then the cost for the servers becomes too much for the game to remain profitable. And therefore they close the game servers, which is what happened in the first episode.
