I think you forgot from season 1 ending, Ainz the one that attacking the lizard men, he the "Great One". Cocytus is leading the war against them, not Slane Theocracy.

Skirmish is when two parties go into battle without it turning into full outright war. In simple terms it means to fight ocasionally.

We truly never know what someone is capable of until they are truly pushed to the edge of death or sanity. But we can only hope that we never have to find out for ourselves

This is, in fact, not explained and *is* technically a spoiler, even if relative awareness can tell you it's Nazarick attacking them it's still meant to be ambiguous by design in the anime.

The starts of each season in this are usually p slow, from memory. It and Slime both share some stretches of primarily world building and character introduction/definition, an important thing to note is that these are *not* shonen. Shonen are high action targetted toward young boys/teens. Both Overlord and Slime are targetted towards an older audience, though not much, and are much slower and have more complex themes.

The Force

Yes! They started as a fan who drew fan art and then the author started hiring them for actual character art, and the art used in the outro's are from those official character arts! Also iirc the outro in ssn 1&2 is written as if sung from Albedo to Ainz, I know the first one is, not 100% sure about ssn 2, don't remember at all beyond that

The art in all the endings is from the books. Also, the numbers they were talking about were how many people they would send to escape. They only want to send a smaller group to escape so they would not struggle for food too much :( Rather dark to have to make that kind of choice :(

Albedo suggest to destroy them in S1 finale, Cocytus going to the '1st war' with the S2 opening fight scene shove in your face, there nothing ambiguous about this.
