Ali

YEEEEEEEEEEEEES well now we wait for episode 12 (Neila is going to love it alot) and well the next arc of s2 is just great as well

stuhlpenner

2:30 Anti Magic: In the last episode, Rimuru erected an anti magic field over the whole camp

PotterBrony

That Folgen headshot is still the funniest thing this episode

stuhlpenner

11:30 I should have waited, before commenting :-D

T3RS1

You will love second part of season 2 ... this is a moment where everything started.

Crissware

Best girl Raphael makes an entrance

The_Force

Fun fact: in the original web novel of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, Fuse initially intended for Shion's death after the Falmuth invasion to be permanent, but the readers gave the author so much backlash that he decided to change that part of the story to where Shion was revived. Also anime is also known as TenSura

The Force

And the Harvest Festival is complete! Though technically one more episode it's really an arc epilogue (still good if memory serves)

Abura-bo

Neila were you really listening to the voice doing the upgrades for Rimiru? Listen to the evolution again and you might discover something more.

Neila Reacts~

i can see why they received backlash because wth, i would have dropped the anime if it was permanent lmao

Abura-bo

I'm trying not to ruin the discovery part for you. Great Sage isn't the only one talking during the evolution and making decisions...

Dethrox

BY FAR.. my most favorite episode of whole anime yet.. :D including season 3 and start of season 4 :D movie and everything.. just.. absolute cinema.. my body shaking and tear is up there about to fall for Shion coming back ❤️ great memory btw for season 1 and Sage controling Rimuru having red eyes ! :3 there were people who though red eyes just mean he is a demon lord now :D

Koda Atlas

When he consumes the 2 demons, he only consumes their bodies which are constructed out of manicures. Their souls return to the demon realm.

supersparta333

This part always reminded me of something Ainz from Overlord would be doing. Always made me wonder how thing would go if Nazarick ended up in this world instead, or vice versa

Some guy

Rimuru, are you sure you're not Canadian? You committed at least 2 war crimes today. (Merciless and summoning Noir. Maybe Megido too, but I think that one is probably safe, since it's really just rapid fire sniping.)

Lost

More fun facts: In demonology, Beelzebub is known as one of the seven princes of hell, the sin associated with him is gluttony. As for Raphael... No clue, lol. Believe he is related to healing, no clue how he ended up as wisdom here. Also don't know the significance of it, if there even is one, but his nom nom skill got a demonic name, and evolved great sage got an angelic name

Guinaur

Love this episode so much! And awesome reaction Neila!

Void Star

this anime is very good, lore wise too... so catching everything is hard, but very nice if you can catch and understand

Neila Reacts~

ohhh i knew about beelzebub but was more confused about raphael too ngl, hopefully the anime explains more!

Argon

Fun fact - When Noir blew away the Nuclear Canon from Razen, he hit a spy from Clayman with it that was flying above the battlefield. Sadly, the anime didn't show this.

Blissfull Wulf

Dang it, and this is why I prefer to wait until after the whole season has been reacted to...

SilverSpade12

There's two quotes from the Light Novel that give Great Sage's evolution some extra coolness. "Then, as if responding to its master's command, the unique skill Great Sage - which never demonstrated having a sense of self before - requested its own evolution." "The Great Sage attempted it without sacrificing anything several hundred million times..." It even describe how, despite that "could never understand emotion" Raphael "felt fulfilled" that it could better carry out its master's request.

SilverSpade12

When a being dies in Tensura, typically, it's soul dissipates into magicules. When Rimuru takes the 2 demons and coverts them into magicules, they stop being demons. Think of it like a sand castle. A sand castle is made of sand but once you knock it down, it's stops being a sand castle. Now it's just sand.

NotFunny

Rimuru becoming a demon lord excites me and makes me pumped!

Kirby745i

Yeah, Noir is that big of a deal. Razen was 10000% correct to freak out as much as he did. Here's some background that wasn't specifically mentioned, but shouldn't be spoilers for the future. As S1 E24 explained, the original 7 demons from the beginning of creation are called by their colors, but they technically do not have actual names in the same way Rimuru, Gabiru, Benimaru, or other named monsters have. Each "color" of demon is usually associated with a personality type. In S1 E24, we saw that the archdemon bad guy at the end was a descendant of red. Red demons are often arrogant and are obsessed with power. Noir had said to the archdemon something along the lines of "you red brutes are all so focused on power without thinking, of course, you couldn't even recognize that I'm a progenitor." Certain colors might be greedy, orderly, intelligent, energetic, etc. Out of all of them, Noir (black) and his kin are often seen as the most unpredictable. Because each color usually sticks to their personality types (red demons chasing power, for example), a summoner can usually figure out what the demon wants from them in exchange for their summoning. Black demons, on the other hand, are whimsical and want to do whatever interests them. Basically, it makes it a lot harder for summoners to prepare offerings in advance for black demons if they get summoned, because each black demon has its own interests. Noir had been interested in Rimuru ever since he saw he had Shizu's mask, the same mask he was fascinated by in S1 E24. Noir has been wanting to be summoned by Rimuru ever since, and was really disappointed when Beretta (a black demon) got summoned first, so he jumped at this opportunity to get summoned. The insanely huge offering Rimuru gave him (the bodies of 10,000 to 20,000 soldiers) also helped. Black demons can also be extremely loyal, but only if they see you're worthy of their loyalty.

Virtuous_Wanderer

Didn't he also apparently destroy like a lot of other demons this time to make sure that he was one of the ones who was summoned? Nearly eradicating the entire Black Demon heritage?

Kirby745i

Not sure, but I know Beretta only got summoned because Noir was unavailable and Beretta knew Noir was waiting for this moment, but because she couldn't get Noir in time, she answered the summoning.

Virtuous_Wanderer

I think that Raphael is also considered a beacon of guidance, and wisdom. He is also said to be one of three heavenly visitors to Abraham. Great Sage could have also implicitly wished to evolve into Raphael due to him being considered a paragon of healing both physically, and SPIRITUALLY which, coincidentally was exactly what Rimuru needed to bring his people back.

Virtuous_Wanderer

I think that the citizens of Nazarick would be neutral if not slightly hostile to Tempest due to their conflicting ideologies considering the governing of humans, and the relationships both want with human nations being so different to one another. Nazarick would also likely have to deal with the other Demon Lords if they interfered too much with the world's natural order which, the Demon Lords seem to want to maintain is a very certain way.

Tim See

As a huge Shion fan, seeing her horn grow back gave me feels. I didn't know I was so attached to her char lol.

Tim See

Still gets a hefty laugh out of me.
