Joined yesterday from utube. U might be my fav beeg cat vtuber / reactor currently lol. Also appreciate how u like overlord and vibe with the ops and Eds. And Ur probably among the very few that didn't cry about the CGI much last season and still liked the show. Keep up the good work Neila.

vassal state is a country that is subordinate to a more powerful state (the "suzerain"). It’s essentially a geopolitical relationship where the smaller state retains its internal identity but sacrifices its independence in foreign affairs in exchange for protection or peace. Think of it as the international version of a "manager and employee" relationship—the boss calls the big shots, while the employee handles their own desk. How It Works The relationship is defined by a mutual, albeit unequal, exchange of obligations: From the Vassal: Usually required to provide military support during wars, pay "tribute" (money or resources), and align its foreign policy with the suzerain From the Suzerain: Provides military protection and legitimacy to the vassal’s rulerToday, we rarely use the word "vassal" in official diplomacy because it sounds insulting. Instead, terms like Satellite State or Puppet State are used. Satellite State: Formally independent but under heavy political, economic, and military influence from another (e.g., Eastern Bloc countries during the Cold War). Puppet State: A government that is legally independent but owes its existence to a foreign power (e.g., Manchukuo during the Japanese occupation).

I legit feel like Ainz wasn't actually trying to threaten the Emperor (I won't even ATTEMPT to spell his name), and was just actually kind of concerned for his health. But, Ainz is just really good at accidentally stumbling into the exact situation he needs to, and since he is so strong, anything he says to someone who was trying to actively scheme against him anything he says could be seen as a threat.

The Sorcerer King Ainz "Accidentally a Genius" Ool Gown

The Force

Absolutely, he still has his human history even if his emotions are dampened by his undead state. It's funny cause his position and the loyalty of those around him, as well as mythos of undead of his calibre implying vast intelligence gathered over centuries or millenia, lead people to assume he's a true genius so they overthink everything he does. Which absolutely works to his advantage but if he were truly incompetent he'd never have reached where he is. I mean imagine what kinda person you have to be to maintain and lead a guild of max level characters in an MMO like Yggdrasil from what we know of it, while maintaining a full time job, as well as having the reputation he did in game (if you've read the LN you know). He's not a genius, but he's definitely dedicated and intelligent enough to be a threat even if he weren't underestimated. It just wouldn't be as funny xD

The Force

"Am I being bipolar this episode?" Just this episode? xD

The Force

Also it's worth keeping in mind, this world operates on basic D&D principles in terms of monster lore. Undead are *normally* vicious and envious of life so seek to kill and destroy the living, no matter how intelligent they are. This is the biggest reason everyone still looks for a way to fight back against Ainz despite, and perhaps even because of, the power difference. They're looking at eminent extinction in their minds.

Philotes

The reason the emperor does not want to "call it a day" is because in this world, the undead (other than players?) have natural hatred towards the living and always plot to kill them. That does not mean they stupidly attack the living on sight tho. Intelligent undead (for example Davanoch that worked with 6 arms) can even work with people and pretend to be friendly, only to gain more power to better kill humans later. Jircniv mentions in the carriage when returning from Nazarick that Ainz may kill the living anyway just because he is undead, but they did not explain why he thinks this in the anime unfortunately.
