Crossing water is a common weakness for undead in a lot of cultures because water represents a boundary like that between life and death and no aqua's powers aren't useless unfortunately they are paired with aqua who's reliability is questionable at best lol

I forgot, there is a joke that there are two different animators that swap episodes. One is good at effects and does the episodes with Megumin's explosions and the other is good with jiggle physics and does the episodes that have a lot of the joke fan service.
