4:08 Looking cool Masayuki!, Ultimate Techinuqe!: Sacrificial Blade, Spinning Wheel!

Orireth

wight is pronounce like the colour white. I appologise on behalf of the english language for it being aweful.

Well, Hinata was actually not doing the dungeon like anyone else. Her and her people had special permission to start at floor 51, and I highly doubt they paid the admission fee because they were there for training not to conquer the dungeon. So why should she get the rewards?

14:12 numbers wouldn't do anything against Veldora. I think it might be anime's fault that some people doesn't actually understand what of a Calamity Veldora is. Remember when they were negotiating with Falmuth some noble said "That's impossible. Just being in the Storm Dragon's presence would have killed you" and that's not an exaggeration. The insane density of magicules around Veldora when he isn't restricting them would have been more than enough to kill Cayman I think. A couple episodes earlier, when they gave Veldora his room, it even threw Rimuru against the wall, and if Rimuru hasn't had his exceptional barrier that is a fricking ultimate skill (hierarchically the best ones) he would have been severely injured too. The reason Hinata could even stand before him is because Hinata has an extreme tolerance to magicules; this was shown when The Seven Luminaries attacked Rimuru en she received the blow, when Rimuru tried to heal her he couldn't because her body was destroying the magicules.

Alliex Owns Gown is better than temu Ainz imo :D

A wight is an undead powered by hatred. It is one of the highest rank of undead, depending on fiction universe it is on par with Lich or a higher version of Lich. A lich beeing an undead with past memories and personality tied to it, reproducing how it fought before dying. While a Whight get beyond memories and is a beeing capable of evolving and adapt. Ainz could be classify as a Magic Wight.

Much appreciated! English is also not my first language

I assume you mean awful, cause aweful isn't a word but if it were it would likely mean "filled with awe" or "something which fills with awe", which is technically awesome. Also you don't have to apologize for our language, go look up every other language they all have stupid shit going on, it's all made up clicks and clacks to try and express thoughts, they all do dumb shit and a lot of it is hilarious xD

I dunno what you're on, Wights are traditionally barely better than zombies. Far from being a lich. Pathfinder and D&D place them at Level 3/Challenge 3 respectively. That means that a party of level 3 players should be able to kill a Wight, levels go up to 20 in D&D and pathfinder. In Of Ice and Fire (George RR Martin, Game of Thrones) Wights *are* the zombies. literally just a replacer for the word zombie. In Overlord Ainz is specifically an Overlord of Death and is definitely not a wight or even in the zombie monster line. Notably Lich are not locked into their old memories, in fact Lich classically are mages and wizards who intentionally became Lich to continue mastering magic. Their whole existence is learning and growing. Revenants are more fitting of what you're describing though, and they're sorta the peak of the modern "Zombie" line in most fiction. These are very specifically undead reanimated through intense fury at their killers and seek them out relentlessly. They usually have superhuman speed, strength and regeneration even restoring from complete destruction. However they also usually have a time limit and eventually decay or, when they kill their target, crumble away. Lich are truly immortal unless killed and their phylactery destroyed. Even considering Revenants though, which would be closer to a Lich, both Pathfinder and D&D put Revenants at level 6/challenge 5 and the weakest Lich you can find is Level 12/challenge 14. Modern fiction also tends to place them below Lich because of the Lich being designed to be the peak of undead who accumulates knowledge over centuries or millennia. They even beat out ancient vampires because vampires focus on pleasures and personal fulfillment while lich genuinely just focus on accumulating magical knowledge and power. There are a few historical zombie like monsters that are on par with, or arguably better than, Liches. Those are *older* than the distinction between zombies and skeletons though, which is when the Lich was created and the Lich was directly inspired by those sources in most cases. Like old Nordic Draugar which fully retained their past memories, healed supernaturally, and had supernatural strength and speed that rivaled legendary heroes as well as the use of magical power. Those are classic old mythos though, where monsters and heroes strength varies as needed for the storytellers to convey meaning and lesson as their characters were tools and not written to be real people. I can think of two modern examples that put Wights on par with Lich. First is Heroes of Might and Magic, which is hardly a reputable source as people (myself included) often complain about weird power disparity and balance there. Warhammer is second, but Warhammer specifically only puts the Wight Kings up there which are basically wholly different from Wights and more akin to Revenants. Source: Almost a decade and a half of research on necromancy, occultism and undead for over 20 different tabletop campaigns and several (unpublished) stories or world building concepts. Necromancy and the occult are basically my special interest. Final Statement: Sorry if this comes off strange, as above I'm obsessed with this stuff and couldn't just ignore what, to my brain, was blatantly wrong information. I did double check a lot of this against notes I have, some still from over a decade ago. That all being said if you build a world or universe you can place and shape it how you want, wights very much *can* be as powerful as lich, it's all made up fantasy for our enjoyment so go wild. Just don't make wild claims about *other* people's presentations of things or you'll trigger some random madman's autistic rambling xD ~~~~ TL;DR Lich in modern fiction are the pinnacle of undead and wights are barely better than zombies in almost all sources. Revenants are a better comparison and match the stated description of wights, but also fall very short.

The Force

Second comment, specifically for Adalmann and Slime wights. Slime is unique in that it merged Wights into the skeletal line of undead, presumably to bolster it since many types of zombies already exist but skeletons are often just "Skeleton, Skeleton Warrior, Skeleton Wizard" whereas wights are usually closer to zombies in appearance with clinging flesh. Adalmann himself is specifically a Wight King, which is above Wights itself similar to the Warhammer version. Wight Kings, notably, are essentially Slimes version of a Lich.

My special interest erupted in response to someone else here so I'll just say thanks for the react, I love your laugh it fuckin gets me everytime xD

Vectoris

14:28 Yes, yes it is.

Vectoris

24:48 In the Light Novel, instead of the Veldora way of killing, it's called the Veldora Killing Arts (TM). Not even making this up, they added the tm symbol to it.

Elias Cristerna

It's funny that you say that it's weird seeing Veldora as a skeleton, when thats exacty who the character Arc is in the anime Skeletion Knight in Another World. He's just Paladin Ainz Ooal Gown, but with Veldora's voice and goober personality and I love him.

Virtuous_Wanderer

Yeah also, magicules are for the most part invisible unless they are actively being utilized for magic or purposefully are being displayed such as Rimuru's Demon Lord Presence but, Veldora's magicules are so dense that they literally visibly pour off of him on waves. Monsters are naturally resistant to magicule toxicity (a term coined by me) since they somewhat function like oxygen for monsters (not exactly but, monsters can't survive in magicule barren places) but, even most monsters would die basically instantly if exposed to Veldora's unrestrained magicules. A human exposed to them would 1000% die probably before they could even realize what was actually killing them unless they have an INSANE magicule resistance like Hinata does, and it is possible that even Hinata would and Veldora was just keeping it to a survivable level for her so he could actually have some fun. TL;DR: Veldora is without a doubt one of the absolute most dangerous entities that just passively exists in that world, and his magicules would have 10000% killed Clayman just by being in the same room as him Clayman was weak AF compared to the people at play now (probably even Gobta as he is now)

Ahmed El Fakih

Yeah. To complement a bit you're comment (all this has been already said in the anime), monsters are made of magicules and that's the reason they're resistant to them. Magic have different properties than magicules itself so that's the reason monsters aren't immune to magic. Veldora's magicules doesn't affect monsters by itself, but the pressure emitted by the display of these magicules do kill.

Neila Reacts~

LMAOOOO rightttt, that was definitely the plan there
