Argon

Here's a bit of fun trivia: Veldora's Japanese VA, Tomoaki Maeno, also voices the protagonist in "Skeleton Knight in Another," who also happens to be a skeleton knight (shocker, right? 😆).

Heir is pronounced like air

Regarding your question about Maribell's skill greed. Most unique and ultimate skills have sub-skills. For example, when Rimuru had Gluttony (which became Beelzebub), it had several sub-skills: Predation Stomach Mimicry Isolation Corrosion Provide Receive So for now just assume that controlling people isn't the only thing she can do.

Rimuru said: He is the Server, the believer are the devices and it's the Server that do all the work. But the believers are also Wifi routers and can extend the range of Rimuru.

More like Hare ...

Koda Atlas

Nah, the h is silent when pronounced by anyone without a southern accent

I don't really like Maribel's character, she's supposed to be some kind of mastermind with a lot of experience and everything but she keeps underestimating Rimuru and antagonizing him when it's quite obviously a bad move. Several other important character publicly sided with him, demons lords, kings, merchants... And yet her first move is to try and aggro him instead of playing the long game and slowly beating him on the free market. By the way, everyone is underestimating Rimuru but that's how he wants it. If his true power was well known people would fear him and it would be more difficult to have proper relations with other countries. (he isn't as strong as Veldora, but Veldora is said to be a threat to the whole continent)

26:43 yes and no. Yes, they are underestimating Rimuru, since he's given credit away everytime he accomplished something; he shared the Orc Lord defeat credit with Youm, accredited Falmuth army's defeat to Veldora, and even spread that Hinata and him ended up in a "tie". But no, Rimuru is NOT stronger than Veldora. I already left a comment in the last episode's reaction, but the anime hasn't shown how much of a disaster is Veldora. I'm not quite sure about the ratio, but rn I'd say Rimuru doesn't even have a third of Veldora's Raw Power (maybe he could give a little bit of fight with Raphael's assistance).

Ahmed El Fakih

Not at all, because if you don't know, you don't know. I don't like spoiling things yk. Anyways, if you don't/she doesn't know, you/she won't get anything out of this comment so don't worry.

Ahmed El Fakih

30:53 ok that was the scene that I thought it was a post credit scene in the 1st episode. Srry bout that.

The Force

Definitely some regional difference but broadly considered like Air with the silent H yeah

The Force

I'd argue she has good reason to underestimate him. Biggest point is we're looking at someone who was at the top of the world in our world for *decades* before dying, at that point she's probably used to getting her way and since nothing has challenged her since she got here she's getting frustrated that Rimuru actually is. Frustrated people do stupid things xD

The Force

Yeah anime tends to miss these things, it does go into it here and there by calling him a True Dragon and such but it never really *explains* what that means or how important that is. I think the closest it's got is calling him a living natural disaster? But when it talked about that it did so in a way that made it seem like hyperbole because if his difference in strength.

The Force

Maribel's not "stuck" at 10, she's just 10 years old and is annoyed that she's been here for 10 years only, but also has been here for 10 whole years already. Basically recognizing how much and how little she's accomplished in those 10 years to what she could accomplish. Also no. No you do *not* want Maribel as a manager. You'll understand why later but dear god no, there's a REASON she got Greed xD

The Force

It's more like he's the Server that does the actual work by the devices, but he also taps into the devices RAM to gain a bit of extra calculation power himself (the bottom of the screen in that scene literally says "Gods Intelligence Increased") which also lets him calculate for more people so also doubling as extending his functional range

The Force

Also the reaction to ostracized was so real "I KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS BUT I DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS" when like your brain understands but you can't actually figure out what the actual definition is. Yes ostracized means to isolate someone, I believe the subtitle there probably should have been exorcized as she basically said "If we can isolate him we can isolate him" while they're talking about killing him which exorcize would fit better

Ahmed El Fakih

Yeah. I've actually haven't read the novel, but I've seen the anime a couple times already, and I've noticed some hints in the anime that tells you that Veldora is actually terrifying. There more hints than calling him a living disaster. For more examples refer to the comment I left in the 4x2 (previous episode) reaction.

Void Star

Yes, Maribel, she can control humans AND monsters, anything that is greedy she can take advantage of that.

Void Star

And all I can say is that... they are underestimating rimuru too much, apart from veldora, most of them think rimuru is borrowing veldora's authority and his power, and that's a big error... this season is damn good... I love it so muuuuuuch

I read the web novels way back before Slime got made into an anime and I know the author changed some stuff for the Light Novel and Manga. I remember there were several dozens of chapters that were just dedicated to how the world worked, how the magic system worked, how our litte slimes powers worked and how he used a lot of the skills we kind of forget about to strengthen his more usefull skills and create others; as well as much more world, village, and dungeon building details, insights, and rational. The show almost completely omits certain characters and glosses over a ton of details and clarifications on the strength of the major characters relative to one another. BUT, having read the web novel I do notice little hints that the show runners into the show which is at least an attempt at incorporating a lot of the litte details they just dont have the time for. For example, in season 1 when Rimuru learns how to use the black flame. It's a little nod to the hundreds of hours he spends in the cave fiddling with his abilities. As far as Veldora goes, they do make some attempts. When he refers to Miliam as his Niece for example. I enjoy reading over anime so I will always recommend the LN's. But Slime is genuinely written very well and I think sets itself apart from the plethora of other isekai novels the have flooded the market. Thank you for reading my essay lol 🙏

Ahmed El Fakih

I've actually thought about reading the LN several times, but the Spanish translation is not that great, and even though my English is great, I probably wouldn't enjoy the story as much as I would like it if read it in Spanish. It's not like I don't like to read because I've read other LNs, like Arifureta (great series but the anime is a complete swill), Mushoku Tensei, Danmachi, High School DxD (I swear the light novel doesn't have that much fanservice, and the story is actually great), Solo Leveling, some of Overlord, and I might be forgetting some.

The problem with beating Rimuru on the free market is that he has the BEST possible spot geographically. Tempest is right in the middle of the continent. If someone from lets say Blumund wanted to go to Dwargon, they would either have to go north through Thalion, south through Eurizania (both of which would add MONTHS of travel time), or west through Tempest. Tempest is so perfectly placed as a nation because, it is the only sensible route to take to go from one side of the continent to another without again, incurring a MASSIVE travel cost due to a long detour around it. Rimuru if he wanted too could probably charge a huge toll on all of his roads, and people would still be willing to pay them because, it would still be cheaper than having to go all the way around. The reason that people underestimate Rimuru so much is because (likely) a massive lack of understanding on how Demon Lords actually work, and just how vastly different each one can compare to another strength wise. Just look at Carrion and Fray, two (former) established Demon Lords at this point might as well be normal people to Rimuru threat wise and, Rimuru against someone like Milim is also comparably weak. People probably just can't grasp that someone would fall in the middle of those two extremes, and assume given Rimuru's (public) lack of feats that he is on Carrion, or Fray's level. To make a long message short, Tempest is just in TOO good of a place for anyone to out compete him in an economic battle, and the Demon Lord hierarchy is seemingly not a well known thing so, Rimuru being such a new face people just assume that he is also weaker than all the other Demon Lords or, at the most, on the weaker side of them.

Virtuous_Wanderer

He basically is the hub of a distribution network, and his believers are like retail locations. He supplies the energy, and his believers in return increase his logistic abilities.
