My school in germany had his own hallenbad and sauna

Winters

Apparently a yukata is casual, summer cotton garment, where a kimono is formal, silk garment for year round wearing.

Roger Powell

Most US high schools have a olympic or half olympic pool as swimming is a major interscholastic sport here. The yukata is worn by both men and women. Men's yukata are solid colored, usually in a drab tone with a contrasting narrow obi (a tied belt) Women's yukata are patterned with a more glossy tone and worn with a wide obi. Gojo's normal attire is a samue, traditionally worn by buddhist monks and craftsmen. The jinbei he purchased in ep11 and wore to the festival is the traditional hot weather japanese outfit. On a side note, most western viewers are often led to believe by the look of their home and the way they dress that the Gojos are lower class. They are really just frugal traditionalists. They own their home and a successful business in suburban Tokyo, a prime real estate market. The dolls they sell retail at US $700-$1000. They do alright.

I mean, I still have a strange desire to sail through the ether on my membranous wings, while also simultaneously confessing to senpai at the festival, but having it get drowned out by the fire works…but, other than that, I feel back to normal.

Roger Powell

I hope you don't sleep on S2. It just gets better.

Some guy

Yup. To add to this, yukata are single-layered. Kimono are more complicated and multi-layered. The clothes that the hina dolls at Gojo's place wear are a good example.

I think the swimming pools at school are more of an anime thing. I can only speak from my own experience, but none of the schools I worked at or visited in Japan had pools (admittedly, all of them were in rural Japan, so maybe in the city it's more common?)

Michael Bloom

Ill second that, I prefer S2 honestly.

Michael Bloom

Not sure where you are in the US, but none of the High schools near me have a pool. Swim clubs are very common, but its all done off site. Funny enough, a running prank at our school was to try convince the freshmen there was a pool on the third floor. Our school didn't even have a third floor, but every year we could get a couple freshmen to go looking.

This episode was such a good end point for the season. Because this was what anime watchers were stuck with for three and a half years. So it really made this show so beloved. Now I have loved your reaction to this show so much. Especially with how much you can relate to the character and stuff in it. That is taking the reaction to the next level I feel like🥰 Btw I cannot handle scary horror movies or games either, as I often feel like I’m either going to have a panic or heart attack during it

Didrik Svahn

Also I love how Marin cannot swim but still like to be around water and not afraid of it. As that really showcase her bravery and sense of excitement. But I wished the anime would show me Gojo saving Marin there in the pool

Roger Powell

Admittedly I've always lived in Metro area's so it would be more accurate to say that it is common. Thank you for correcting my assumtion.

I think kimono are significantly warmer. Yukatas are more traditional summer wear

Look for a red apple strain called Cosmic Crisp. If you like green apples you will like it more. I put money on it

I have a mans Kimono, and let me just say while it looks great, that thing is a PAIN to get on, and like... REALLY hot after a while. I usually only ever wear it around the house or, as light formal wear if I am going to a semi-formal party hosted by friends. There are also apparently like... a LOT of JP men out there that would kill for the kimono and haori since they both have a really nice pattern unlike the usual formal ones that are solid color. (the hakama is just a standard black pleated, and the obi is sheer silk and a lot thinner fabric than the norm, the kimono is blue with a waves pattern, and the haori is navy with a hexagon pattern)

JAMES D'ALESSANDRO

Based on all the anime I watch I would say yes. All Japanese high-schools have built in swimming pools. That's my only sorce for saying

Virtuous_Wanderer

Probably not common but, it probably happens in larger cities. If JP is like rural US, they just don't really have the funding at the schools for a whole ass olympic swimming pool.

JAMES D'ALESSANDRO

Kimono are different from Yuckatas. Kimonos are bulkier. Yukatas are lighter and thinner material. I assume they are mostly worn in Summer and a Kimono worn more in the Winter. Just guessing though.

Nathan Lee

watching this episode reminded me of the movie 'A Silent Voice', guess i'll have to rewatch it today

IntrepidInfinity

My old school used to have a pool but it got filled in and turned into a basketball court long before I was a student. Because they're expensive to maintain most schools here don't have their own and instead make use of a local leisure centre/sports centre that does have one for clubs or swim lessons

IntrepidInfinity

All those fireworks going off and they're staring at each other instead smh hahaha also if a girl did something goofy like that it wouldn't ruin things I think breaking the tension like that is cute my brain would instantly think "wife" lmao

ChivChav

time to look for some good horror movie/anime to recomend.

Neila Reacts~

ye i feel like that s something i would do as well trying to be funny but not realising it could be a serious moment lol

6:38 Well, well, well.... You'll have some "fun" in Season 2 (for some meaning of "fun"). Brace yourself.

Ricky Picky Ricky

18:11 That girl is not really a girl, she is a wolf disguised by Homo Sapiens. I love how much Kitagawa loves food, you wonder how she can be so slender; she has not a metabolism, she has a furnace! (but see S2)

Ricky Picky Ricky

28:42 I just **love** this frame. It looks like they are actually in the same bed, with the phone connecting them.

Ricky Picky Ricky

I add my vote to S2. S1 is good, S2 is better, with more secondary characters playing important roles, interesting arcs, personal growth and a few episodes maybe more intense than E11. Oh, yes, and great animations, too.

Joseph Adams

My school had a swimming pool. But as with most of them somebody drowned and they filled it in. Happens more than you would think in america

Doomer Guy

I was in highschool in Illinois and we had a pool and it was public school

Tim See

Swimming and other stuff (polo, diving etc.) was part of our sports team at my HS so yeah, we had a pool. Part of our PE was even participating in it. I'm not sure I know of schools that don't have one? Being a part of the swim team was kind of a bragging thing in school. And a lot of anime.
