I don't remember which episode but there is a special ending song you will want to listen to.

Leroy

Yes, all episodes starting from the second one have some post-credit scenes

Murphys Law: Everything that can go wrong, will go wrong. Not a law in the typical sense, just an observation of someone frustrated that got accepted as... yeah... I feel that.

Didrik Svahn

I think it was for either episode 7 or 8

The OP and ED here in this show is so great. It’s Tanya’s VA who signs them. And I love the lyrics as well did listen to them a lot back in the day

Yeah Germany had some crazy scientists during WW2. And despite all of that they were highly sought after the war. As America did try to recruit some of them. Which is how the rocket for the Apollo program got made

The novels make it a bit more clear how the blessing/curse works: it's not that you have to pray to use the device. Instead, using the device automatically fills your heart with overwhelming faith (whether you are a faithful person or not). There's actually an interesting discussion among the Being Xs (angels) about the nature of faith and how they are blessing Tania by letting her see what faith is like (or something like that... it has been a while since I read it). So, in the LN, they aren't actually trying to be mean to her, they genuinely think what they are doing is for her own good. I personally find that a much more interesting story than "Being X is just an asshole," but oh well, this is what we got.

The ending its sooo goooood

Martyr is märtyrer. it's someone who is ready to suffer and/or dies for his faith

At the end of the day, even the LN version of Being X and its Angels are still being asses just in a way that they don't understand. Its like telling a person that doesn't have food, doesn't want food, and doesn't need food that they are gonna get an unlimited supply otherwise, their stomach is gonna explode and they are going to die if they don't eat it. Being X is forcing our proverbial person to eat even though they don't want or need to under the thread of an explosive death. Sure, there is a benefit to eating because it makes our proverb stronger but, our proverb doesn't crave strength just to survive which they are able to do without eating. The crux of my argument is that a higher being shouldn't FORCE something on someone even if they THINK it is helping them or that THEY are helping them. But, there is a belief that if a god is all knowing, all seeing, and all caring that, at the same time, that god knows nothing, sees nothing, and cares for nothing. That belief basically means that god is a logical fallacy that could, should, and does exist but, at the same time that it couldn't, shouldn't, and doesn't exist. Schrödinger's God so to speak, it does, and doesn't, it can, and cant, is could, and couldn't all at the same time, and there is no way to actually see the metaphysical, true form of this god to neither confirm nor deny its state of existence. For all we know, Being X is God, Satan, and Itself all at the same time, infinitely contradictory.

Virtuous_Wanderer

Martyr has also somewhat been taken away from a purely faithful meaning, and could now also be considered someone who is ready to suffer/die for one thing or another that they care for entirely separate from faith.

Some guy

Oh, absolutely. Being X is 100% in the wrong, even in the LN. I just find its more alien perspective more interesting than the angry toddler in the anime. I like that Being X in the LN is genuinely trying to help, but does not understand that, for example, literally shoving faith inside someone is not a good thing.

Some Random Guy

There actually is a really good German cover of the ending by Selphius. The song is called Los! Los! Los! might be worth reacting to it. I think she may have done a German cover of the OP as well.

Italian red devil was a grenade well known for being unreliable ether going off too soon or not going off until much later its proper name was the model 35 and the two main ones where the Breda 35 the most common one and most unstable and the SRCM 35 that was more stable but not as commonly used and it was the British fighing in Africa in ww2 that gave it the nickname red devil

14:09 Tanya was raised in the nunnery, an orphanage run by the nuns probably the Bible was used to teach them to read as well as the religious services held by the nuns. The ending artwork was done by the Light Novel artist Shinobu Shinotsuki. And Aoi YUki is singing the ending.

Neila, consider your potential American green card revoked for not liking the American dessert of apple pie (the best pie).

Star Study

Since no one mentioned it. The ED art is by So-Bin who is also the one who did art for Overlord. So-Bin in the illustrator for the light novels of both Overlord and Tanya.

carbonfiberRS

You hate apple pie?........no worries there's other kinds of pies....wink wink

So I just learned a jingo is a term for an aggressive nationalist, hence the opening

Freitag

Then lets say ideology, thats includes everything

Raktim Rabha

I think I commented on the wrong post, it was supposed to be a movie recommendation, a psychological thriller directed by Christopher Nolan about two rival stage magicians in Victorian London, staring Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale

Hhound42

A nunnery is staffed solely by the nuns with visits by upper male clergy for some religious ceremonies whereas the monastery would be monks only.

Elliot Sternberg

Typing thoughts as I watch: 1- They said Jungle because the song is Jingo Jungle, which has fun alliteration (When multiple words start with the same letter in a row.) A Jingo is someone who is boldly in favor of war. 2- If she didn't have insane magical aptitude she would have emigrated to the US and become and accountant or something. The power is a curse. Then again she could also have fled, but she thinks she's way smarter than she is and tends to go with her first plan as long as possible. 3- You gotta love her getting into a pissing match with being X and constantly making her situation worse. 4- For this show you probably want to toss out most of your preconceived notions of god. Even if Being X is a god, any god that curses people for mildly sassing them and does the stuff that this one does would be an evil god, no?

Tim See

Yeah, I say that too often when at work lmao. "When it rains, it pours." is a close second. Murphy's law is a common saying around the medical workplace.

Tim See

"Does everyone have a daughter this age?" lol mine is 8 as I watch this... so maybe? Where she grew up in was called a "Nunnery" (only a religious place for nuns). And her past life, she was considered well educated. Hence her knowledge of all things worldly. The short name they call Serebryakov in this show is "Visha" which is what I always call her. (Her first name is Viktoria.)
